Siluria and the Lightning Warrior took their positions in the arena.
Ten paces apart.
Wind swept across the platform, lifting a few chips of stone and rolling them between the two.
Lightning wreathed the Lightning Warrior's body. Arcs danced across his heavy armor with sharp crackles. He held his Great Curved Sword at his side, its blade likewise wrapped in fine strands of electricity that lit its edge blue.
Siluria held her Tree Spear in one hand, its tip angled toward the ground. Her Crucible Knight armor encased her from head to toe, leaving only two calm eyes visible through the slits in her visor.
They stared at each other.
One second.
Two seconds.
On the third second-
Boom!
The ground burst apart!
Both figures moved at once, charging at each other like cannonballs fired from their barrels, carrying enough force to devastate the world!
Ten paces vanished in an instant!
The Great Curved Sword swept sideways!
The Great Tree Spear thrust straight ahead!
Clang!
Both weapons struck their opponents at the same time!
Sparks flew!
Tremendous force rebounded!
Both suits of armor gave a deep, thunderous clang. Steel clashed against steel, strength against strength! The Great Curved Sword struck the Crucible Knight's left pauldron, leaving a scorched black mark; the Great Tree Spear struck the center of the Lightning Warrior's breastplate, its tip scraping a trail of sparks across the armor!
Then both weapons bounced away.
The Lightning Warrior refused to retreat even half a step. His Great Curved Sword traced an arc through the air and swept sideways again!
Siluria likewise refused to give ground. She drew her Tree Spear back to her waist and thrust again!
Clang!
Another simultaneous hit!
Another simultaneous rebound!
