Ch. 101One Woman, a Thousand Soldiers

Leda, Ansbach, and Dryleaf Dane escaped the canyon after Moore sacrificed himself to shield them from the archers, only to find Millicent waiting at the Grand Lift. Millicent defeated Dane while Ansbach and Leda rode the lift away, where an Ancient Dragon’s roar signaled another danger ahead.

  • Moore held off the archers while Leda, Ansbach, and Dryleaf Dane reached the Hidden Village, where they found that Moore had died beneath a forest of arrows.
  • Leda vowed revenge on the Tarnished, and the three continued along the Ruin-Strewn Precipice toward the Grand Lift.
  • Millicent revealed that the Tarnished had stationed her at the lift, and Dryleaf Dane stayed behind to fight while Ansbach pulled Leda onto the rising platform.
  • Millicent defeated Dane with Waterfowl Dance and knocked him unconscious, while Ansbach and Leda escaped on the lift.
  • Millicent stayed behind with Dane as a dragon roared from the lift shaft.

Ch. 102Shield Poking in Its Ultimate Form

Ansbach and Leda reached Altus Plateau, where Lansseax confronted them, while Tarnished revealed he intended to capture Leda alive and use her knowledge to reach the Land of Shadow. Tarnished defeated Astel with his shield-and-spear technique, and the chapter ended as Ranni became a god and transformed day into night across the Lands Between.

  • Ansbach and Leda emerged onto Altus Plateau, where Lansseax appeared and struck at them with her lightning glaive.
  • Tarnished told Blaidd that he planned to spare Leda so he could use her knowledge of the passage to the Land of Shadow, and explained that Lansseax would let her escape because she knew where Vyke was imprisoned.
  • Tarnished used a Fingerprint Stone Shield and a stone-enchanted Godskin Stitcher to block Astel's attacks and defeat it with repeated thrusts.
  • The sky turned to night across the Lands Between, and Tarnished told Blaidd that Ranni had become a god.

Ch. 103The bright moon as witness, the Dark Moon as wife

Ranni ascended to godhood and accepted Tarnished’s marriage proposal, which gave her the Lands Between’s recognition and healed her body. The Five-Party Alliance announced their engagement and launched a campaign against the Mohgwyn Dynasty, while Tarnished and Blaidd prepared for the coming war.

  • Under the bright moon, Tarnished proposed to Ranni and explained that a god needed a lord to gain the Lands Between’s full recognition.
  • Ranni accepted Tarnished’s proposal, and their engagement healed her wounds and established her as a true god; she gave Tarnished the Dark Moon Greatsword as her consort’s dowry.
  • Tarnished told Ranni she was his third wife, and she blasted him into a rock wall before vanishing; Blaidd dug him out.
  • Three days later, the Five-Party Alliance announced Ranni’s ascension, her engagement to Tarnished, and the Bright Moon campaign against the Mohgwyn Dynasty and the faith of the Mother of Truth.
  • Ranni watched the announcement repeatedly, while Tarnished and Blaidd prepared for the campaign and Tarnished vowed to grow strong enough to deserve Ranni and her sword.

Ch. 104Lansseax's Reverse Scale

Lansseax received Tarnished’s reassurance after Leda escaped and gave him her Reverse Scale, while leaders across the Lands Between reacted to the Five-Party Alliance proclamation. At Stargazers' Tower, Tarnished chose Kachacha as the test subject for Ranni’s dangerous Charm-Breaking Spell.

  • Tarnished reassured Lansseax that he did not blame her for letting Leda escape and promised to help rescue Vyke after dealing with the Mohgwyn Dynasty.
  • Lansseax gave Tarnished her Reverse Scale, which formed a powerful ring, and pledged the support of herself and the Ancient Dragons.
  • Jerren celebrated the alliance proclamation and committed the Redmane Army to serving Tarnished and Ranni’s new era.
  • Morgott ordered his army to prepare for battle while allowing his followers to surrender to Stormveil if he fell.
  • Tanith ordered Hanwuna to travel to Caria Manor and seduce Tarnished so Volcano Manor could regain influence.
  • Ranni told Tarnished her Charm-Breaking Spell could severely damage its test subject, and Tarnished selected Kachacha for the experiment.

Ch. 105Pretty darn good

Ranni tested a method of removing Miquella’s charm and concluded that Rennala’s power could reshape the victims’ brains while Ranni froze the charm, but Tarnished postponed treating the prisoners until after the war. The Five-Party Alliance invaded the Mohgwyn Dynasty, and its coordinated tactics routed the outer defenses as Morgott’s army advanced toward the temple.

  • Ranni’s experiments removed Miquella’s charm from Kachacha but left him with the intelligence and speech of a three-year-old, and she explained how she could use Rennala’s power to treat the other prisoners.
  • Tarnished decided that Ranni should preserve her strength for the coming war against Mohg and the Mother of Truth, so they delayed removing the charm from Ansbach and the others.
  • Three days later, the Five-Party Alliance formally declared war on the Mohgwyn Dynasty and attacked its mountain stronghold from the front and rear.
  • Lansseax, Agheel, Smarag, and Adula dropped Sleep Pots over the defenders, knocking out much of the outer force and letting Morgott’s army advance.
  • Stonehorn led Ancestral Follower archers in ten volleys that devastated the awake defenders, while Morgott learned that the alliance’s industrial supplies and ranged forces supported both battle fronts.
  • Morgott ordered the allied troops to advance toward the temple and coordinate with their archers as the battle approached its final stage.

Ch. 106Crucible Knights × 9

The allied army reached the Blood Lake, where Tarnished’s coordinated Troll-and-crossbow formations defeated the spirits protecting the forest and rescued the advance from the Mohgwyn Dynasty’s defenses. Nine Crucible Knights reunited and joined the march toward the Blood Temple to confront Mohg and the Mother of Truth.

  • Morgott’s forces and Edgar’s troops entered the Blood Lake, where they discovered the remains of countless victims and faced enormous skeletal spirits summoned by the Mohgwyn Dynasty.
  • Stania, Pangaea, and Gondwana reunited with the Crucible Knights serving the allied army, bringing the gathering to nine knights.
  • Tarnished ordered twelve combined-arms groups of armored Trolls and crossbowmen to advance, withstand the spirits’ beams, and kill the blood-robed summoners.
  • The allied troops cleared the forest, destroyed the summoners’ altars, defeated an ambush, and searched for surviving prisoners.
  • Stania and Pangaea joined Morgott’s forces, Gondwana stayed with Tarnished’s main army, and the alliance marched toward the Blood Temple.

Ch. 107An intelligence operative undercover for two and a half years

The allied army defeated the Mohgwyn Dynasty’s forces at the Blood Plaza after Corwin delivered intelligence from his undercover assignment. Tarnished’s group entered the Blood Temple, where Morgott confronted his brother Mohg kneeling before a strange cocoon.

  • Corwin emerged from a hidden cave, gave Tarnished a detailed map of the Mohgwyn Dynasty’s defenses, and left to report to the logistics troops.
  • Tarnished led the allied army through the tunnel and attacked the Sanguine Nobles defending the Blood Plaza.
  • The Sanguine Nobles sacrificed their blood to damage a Troll, but Irina’s healers and the army’s logistics teams quickly restored the soldier and replaced his shield.
  • Tarnished ordered the nobles to surrender or be killed; the survivors were captured or defeated, and their leader killed himself before the temple.
  • Tarnished assigned Jerren and Edgar to secure the plaza while Morgott entered the Blood Temple to face Mohg.
  • Morgott found Mohg kneeling beside a cracked cocoon and tenderly kissing the pale arm protruding from it, then called his brother’s name.

Ch. 108The Tarnished's super evolution

Morgott confronted Mohg over his plan to marry Miquella, but the Tarnished and their allies arrived to support Morgott and thwarted Mohg's blood curse with Purifying Crystal Tears. After Mohg's power surged and he began to overpower Morgott, the Tarnished shielded him, then summoned Ranni and rode Torrent through a rift to confront the Mother of Truth.

  • Mohg defended his union with Miquella and attacked Morgott, who stood against him with the Tarnished and their companions at his side.
  • Morgott wounded Mohg in their duel, but Mohg invoked the Mother of Truth's blood curse, which the assembled allies resisted using Purifying Crystal Tears supplied through a large-scale alliance.
  • Mohg's failed curse left him devastated, and he released his Omen power before resuming the fight and overpowering Morgott as his illness flared up.
  • The Tarnished blocked Mohg's attack with the Fingerprint Stone Shield and left the gathered allies to fight him.
  • The Tarnished summoned Ranni, who opened a rift to the Mother of Truth's lair, and rode Torrent through it while declaring that he had come to bargain.

Ch. 109What a Pair of Star-Crossed Lovers

Morgott killed Mohg after confronting him about his failed dynasty, but Tarnished revealed that Mohg’s soul could be preserved and potentially resurrected. After defeating the Mother of Truth’s attack, Tarnished set out the next steps: cure the Queen of the Full Moon and deal with Miquella’s cocoon.

  • The alliance defeated Mohg, and Morgott chose to abdicate Leyndell to Tarnished before killing his brother with the Cursed Sword.
  • Mohg briefly regained his senses before dying in Morgott’s arms, and Tarnished returned through a rift to repel the Mother of Truth with Ranni’s help.
  • Tarnished explained that he had negotiated for the Mother of Truth to release Mohg’s soul, then captured the soul in a Glintstone Orb for Morgott.
  • Tarnished told Morgott that Ranni’s resurrection research needed the Great Rune of the Unborn and that they would have to restore the Queen of the Full Moon’s sanity.
  • Tarnished said Morgott could seek a new body after the Queen recovered, then named Saint Trina and the Land of Shadow as part of the plan.
  • Tarnished turned the group’s attention to Miquella’s cocoon, saying they needed to deal with the ‘bride’ first.

Ch. 110Mohg Wasn't Gay!

After Mohg's defeat, the Five-Party Alliance sorted the spoils while Tarnished explained how Miquella had charmed Mohg with the Mother of Truth's help and revealed his plan to ascend in the Land of Shadow. The leaders agreed to prepare an expedition in three days, and Ranni blasted Tarnished after he claimed gods were weak.

  • Nepheli settled disputes over captured items by invoking the alliance's rule that disputed spoils had to be registered and held for a leadership decision.
  • Tarnished revealed that Miquella was absent from the cocoon and explained that Miquella had gained the Mother of Truth's power to charm Mohg during the Shattering.
  • Tarnished said Ansbach had discovered Miquella's control over Mohg, tried to assassinate Miquella, and was charmed into becoming his follower.
  • Tarnished explained that Miquella had gone to the Land of Shadow to use the Gate of Divinity, while the alliance leaders planned to travel there in three days for their own goals.
  • Tarnished claimed gods were weak, and Ranni blasted him away with Comet Azur.

Ch. 111Everyday Li...fe After the War

Six days after the war, the Five-Party Alliance prepared its army for the Land of Shadow while Morgott sought help from Siluria and Tanith readied Rykard. Tarnished learned that Ranni had reconstructed mobile golem designs, as a mysterious shadow slipped past the workshop window.

  • Jerren appointed Nepheli to lead mixed-unit training as the alliance worked to improve its soldiers' coordination.
  • Morgott decided to travel to Deeproot and persuade Siluria to return, then took Tanith's pearl powder after she suggested ways to make him look frailer.
  • Tanith confronted Tarnished about the stolen powder and revealed that she planned to return to Volcano Manor to prepare Rykard for the expedition.
  • Tarnished ordered a show investigation into Tanith's missing powder, then visited Ranni and learned she had reconstructed plans for mobile golems.
  • Tarnished teased Ranni about her feelings, and she chased him around the workshop with a ruler as a dark shadow passed the window.

Ch. 112Leda × Misery

Leda secretly returned to the Blood Temple to take Mohg’s body for Miquella, but Tarnished and the Five-Party Alliance had anticipated her plan and captured her. After Leda’s failed escape and attack on Tarnished, Tanith took charge of her prisoner.

  • As the alliance relaxed during its preparations for war, Leda infiltrated the Blood Temple and opened a passage to the Land of Shadow beside Mohg’s corpse.
  • Tarnished revealed that the apparent gaps in the temple’s defenses were a trap, with the allied leaders and soldiers waiting to capture Leda.
  • The leaders explained how Tarnished had united their strengths, but Leda remained loyal to Miquella and tried to break through the encirclement.
  • After Stormveil crossbowmen and allied warriors stopped her, Leda pretended to surrender and then tried to stab Tarnished.
  • Tarnished struck Leda unconscious, and Tanith volunteered to take custody of her.

Ch. 113Good things come in pairs

Tarnished found Ranni, Nepheli, and Irina too busy with their duties to spend time with him, then dealt with documents from the Mohgwyn Dynasty and summoned Fia to study a death-related secret art. After Fia teased him and he fled, she joined Tanith to question a captured female knight.

  • Ranni confirmed the passage to the Land of Shadow was stable and said she would expand it while training to grow stronger.
  • Tarnished tried to visit Nepheli and Irina, but both were occupied; after seeing the medical team care for patients, he left Irina to her work and ordered toothpaste research from Raya Lucaria Academy.
  • Tarnished ordered Hanwuna to destroy the Mohgwyn Dynasty's blood ritual documents but kept a secret art for summoning a giant spectral skeleton and asked her to bring Fia.
  • Fia arrived three days later, said she could master the summoning art, and flirted with Tarnished, who insisted he would not betray Ranni before fleeing.
  • Tanith asked Fia to help question a captured female knight, and Fia agreed to work with her.

Ch. 114Guh, kill...

Tarnished chose to prioritize Sellen’s self-replicating Living Doll project over mass-producing Golems, aiming to solve the alliance’s labor shortage. He was then summoned by Tanith and found Leda bound in a secluded tent, where she begged him to kill her.

  • Tarnished learned that Ashmi and Melina had developed Silver Tear armor, and he ordered the limited supply reserved for elite troops.
  • Sellen reported that her pilot-controlled, magically reinforced Golem prototype had succeeded, but Tarnished postponed mass production to pursue her proposed Living Doll workforce.
  • Tarnished told Sellen that the alliance should prepare for people to live well after the war, and she agreed to develop the Living Doll production line.
  • A messenger summoned Tarnished to Tanith, and Hanwuna escorted him alone to a secluded tent where Tanith and Fia awaited him.
  • Tanith revealed Leda bound to a wooden frame, and Leda pleaded with Tarnished to kill her.

Ch. 115The Nail

Tarnished rescued Leda from Tanith and Fia’s attempt to break Miquella’s Charm through sexual humiliation, choosing to treat her with restraint and care instead. As he prepared to take her to prison, Nepheli reported that Stormveil had been attacked, D was lightly injured, and the Finger Maiden’s corpse had been stolen.

  • Tanith and Fia explained how they had tortured Leda and revealed their plan to use Tarnished’s intimacy with her to disrupt Miquella’s Charm.
  • Tarnished refused to exploit Leda, covered her with his cloak, and insisted that the experiment end.
  • Tarnished gave Leda an antidote, cooled her in a bathtub, and dressed her while she recovered; Leda remained conscious and was affected by his restraint.
  • Tanith and Fia watched from outside the tent and said Tarnished’s kindness would create a conflict in Leda’s feelings toward him and Miquella.
  • Nepheli arrived as Tarnished carried Leda toward prison and reported that a mysterious attacker had struck Stormveil, D had been lightly injured, and the Finger Maiden’s corpse was missing.

Ch. 116The Frenzied Flame Faction

Tarnished learned that Vyke had escaped with his resurrected Finger Maiden, who was possessed by the Frenzied Flame Faction, and realized Miquella had allied with the faction to delay him. He caught up with Vyke at dawn, where the two prepared to fight over Vyke’s choice to embrace the resurrection and Tarnished’s resolve to protect the world.

  • Nepheli told Tarnished that an attacker had stolen Vyke’s Finger Maiden’s body from Stormveil and wounded D.
  • Tarnished suspected Miquella had released Vyke and returned to Stormveil while Nepheli strengthened security around the Empyrean’s Slumbering Cocoon.
  • D told Tarnished that Vyke had taken his resurrected maiden, whose name was Hyetta, and that Vyke had fought him before fleeing north.
  • Tarnished concluded that the Frenzied Flame Faction had possessed Vyke’s maiden and pursued Vyke toward Leyndell, ordering the army to follow at a distance.
  • At dawn, Tarnished found Vyke making breakfast beside the sleeping maiden and declared that he had come to kill him.
  • Vyke acknowledged that the maiden was no longer Lyn but chose to embrace madness, and Tarnished challenged him to fight.

Ch. 117The dragon and the bull

Tarnished fought Vyke until Vyke unleashed Dragon Lightning, but Lansseax arrived and confessed her love to him. After Vyke rejected her and she began to die, Tarnished proposed to Lansseax, who accepted, reclaimed her power from Vyke, and joined Tarnished to face him.

  • Tarnished used his shield and Godskin Stitcher to wear down Vyke, who praised his practical fighting style before unleashing Dragon Lightning and overwhelming Tarnished with speed.
  • Lansseax arrived and begged Vyke to accept her love, but he rejected her and she collapsed after her heart broke.
  • Tarnished kissed Lansseax and proposed, urging her to live; her strength returned, and she accepted him as her lifelong partner.
  • Lansseax took back the Dragon Lightning she had given Vyke and transferred it to Tarnished, healing his wound and empowering him.
  • Lansseax armed herself with a dragonscale blade, stood beside Tarnished, and declared that they would face Vyke together.

Ch. 118An ambush? Who was surrounding whom?

Tarnished and Lansseax defeated Vyke’s first assault, but Eleonora and Loretta joined the fight as part of an ambush. Tarnished overwhelmed Vyke and Eleonora in the ensuing battle and advanced on them as they struggled to their feet.

  • Tarnished and Lansseax coordinated their attacks, bringing Vyke to his knees before Lansseax struck him down with her Glaive.
  • Eleonora interrupted Tarnished’s attempt to kill Vyke, revealing that Vyke had accepted a bargain to help resurrect Lyn in exchange for killing Tarnished.
  • Vyke invoked the Frenzied Flame while Eleonora attacked Tarnished, and Loretta charged Lansseax to keep her away from the battle.
  • Tarnished withstood Vyke’s Frenzied Flame assault, then used Rock Sling to knock Vyke into a distant rock wall.
  • Tarnished charged through Eleonora’s spinning Marais Executioner's Sword and shield-bashed him into Vyke.
  • Tarnished approached as Vyke and Eleonora struggled to their feet, leaving the fight unresolved.

Ch. 119The Frenzied Flame Is Just My Ex-Girlfriend

Vyke and Eleonora seemingly defeated Tarnished with a point-blank Frenzied Flame attack, while Lansseax was captured by Loretta. Tarnished rose again in the complete form of the Lord of Frenzied Flame and prepared to punish them.

  • Vyke asked Eleonora to hold Tarnished off for three minutes while he gathered power for a finishing move.
  • Tarnished shattered Eleonora’s sword hand and nearly killed him, but Vyke attacked by clinging to Tarnished’s shield and blasting Frenzied Flame into his eyes.
  • Tarnished collapsed, and Vyke declared that the flames had burned away his consciousness.
  • Lansseax rushed to Tarnished’s battlefield, but Loretta shot her down with Loretta’s Mastery; Vyke then opposed Eleonora’s demand to kill her.
  • Tarnished rose with a burning, featureless head and revealed himself as the complete Lord of Frenzied Flame.

Ch. 120Frenzied Flame packed a punch

Tarnished overwhelmed Vyke, Loretta, and Eleonora with the Frenzied Flame, but exhausted its power before finishing them. Lansseax joined forces with him using Dragon Lightning, forcing the three enemies to retreat, and D arrived as Tarnished recovered from the strain.

  • Vyke, Loretta, and Eleonora attacked Tarnished together, but he repelled them with Shabriri's howl and Unendurable Frenzy, then wounded Vyke and Eleonora with Frenzied Flame Lightning.
  • Tarnished rose into the air and gathered Frenzied Flame into a sun, but the power ran out before he could complete the attack, and he fell back to the ground.
  • Vyke realized Tarnished's Frenzied Flame was spent, but Lansseax broke free, clasped Tarnished's hand, and infused him with Dragon Lightning.
  • Vyke ordered Loretta and Eleonora to retreat when they saw Tarnished empowered by Lansseax, and the three fled the mountain hollow.
  • Tarnished collapsed from exhaustion, and Lansseax stayed beside him while he recovered.
  • D arrived with an army of Those Who Live in Death, and Tarnished sent him after Vyke, Loretta, and Eleonora, ordering him to kill Eleonora if possible.
