Ch. 161A scene of domestic violence

Rennala, Ranni, Radahn, and their allies fought Radagon inside the Erdtree, but his overwhelming power kept them on the defensive. After the Tarnished revealed Radagon’s weakness to fire, Tanith and the God-Devouring Serpent trapped him in magma, and the others launched a coordinated attack.

  • Rennala unleashed powerful Comets and sixty Greatblade Phalanx Glintblades, but Radagon deflected every spell and countered with Holy Energy Spears.
  • Ranni saved Rennala from Radagon’s second spear, and Radahn intercepted Radagon’s hammer before being forced to one knee by his father’s holy attacks.
  • The God-Devouring Serpent swallowed Radagon, but he tore his way out through its belly, leaving the fighters and Patches horrified.
  • The Tarnished told the group that Radagon was weak to fire, so Rennala ordered Tanith to lead the next attack.
  • Radagon struck the God-Devouring Serpent until Tanith commanded it to cast Magma Pool, trapping Radagon in burning magma as the others attacked.

Ch. 162Sacrifice your loved ones, gain boundless power

Radagon fought Rennala’s family while the Tarnished predicted that the Golden Order’s puppet would eventually fall. When Radagon nearly killed Ranni, Tanith saved her at the cost of her own life, and the grieving Rykard transformed and unleashed the Blasphemous Flame against Radagon.

  • Radahn, Rennala, Ranni, and the God-Devouring Serpent attacked Radagon while the Tarnished told Bernahl that Radagon was only a puppet of the Golden Order.
  • Radagon deflected Ranni’s Comet Azur, struck back through the beam, and rushed toward her with his Stone Hammer.
  • Tanith shoved Ranni out of the hammer’s path and took the fatal blow, then told Ranni she had wanted to see the Tarnished’s more equal world before she died.
  • Ranni laid Tanith down and prepared to attack Radagon, while the God-Devouring Serpent transformed and revealed himself as Rykard.
  • Rykard drew the Blasphemous Sacred Sword and unleashed the Blasphemous Flame at Radagon.

Ch. 163Cute Stars Soaring Sky Crash

After Radagon defeated Rykard, Patches, and the attackers from Volcano Manor, Rennala devised a plan with Ranni while Radahn prepared a meteor-like assault. Tarnished began preserving Tanith’s soul, and Radahn’s blazing descent threatened to strike the battlefield.

  • Rykard’s tormented souls failed against Radagon’s golden order, and Radagon knocked Rykard down with three hammer strikes.
  • Patches charged Radagon and was hurled back, after which Bernahl, Hanwuna, and the Recusants attacked to avenge Tanith.
  • The Recusants kept Radagon occupied while Tarnished collected Tanith’s soul in a Spirit Orb, and Rennala explained her plan to Ranni.
  • Rennala asked Radahn to buy them time, and Radahn soared into the sky using gravity magic.
  • Tarnished warned the fighters to get out of the way as Radahn descended like a flaming meteor.

Ch. 164Too late

Radagon defeated Radahn and turned to attack Ranni, but Rennala and Ranni trapped him in a relentless Crystal Barrage. Radagon was driven to his knees as Rennala declared the age of gods and kings over.

  • Radahn's Great Starfall missed Radagon, who counterattacked and slammed Radahn into the ground.
  • Radagon advanced on Ranni, but Rennala blocked his path and realized that her former husband was gone.
  • Rennala attacked Radagon with Crystal Barrage, and he ignored the harmless crystals as he pressed toward her.
  • Ranni appeared behind Radagon and joined Rennala, their crossing barrages overwhelming his defenses and preventing him from teleporting.
  • The combined Crystal Barrage knocked Radagon to his knees, and Rennala declared that the world would be returned to the people.
  • Radagon tried to rise, but Rennala and Ranni doubled their barrage, forcing him back down as Rennala told him it was too late.

Ch. 165The late king

Rennala nearly kills Radagon, but the Elden Beast emerges to reclaim him, forcing Tarnished and the allies into a final battle. One year later, Godfrey arrives at the ruined Erdtree Plaza and learns the Golden Dynasty has fallen, then vows to challenge the new king.

  • Rennala strikes Radagon with her staff, leaving him near death, while Patches arrives and learns the battle is not over.
  • The Elden Beast emerges and reaches for Radagon, but Tarnished knocks it back and explains that it is the Elden Ring itself and controlled Marika and Radagon.
  • Rennala and the allied forces join Tarnished in attacking the Elden Beast, beginning the final battle.
  • One year later, Godfrey arrives at the ruined Erdtree Plaza and meets a black-armored woman who tells him the Golden Dynasty ended a year earlier.
  • The woman identifies herself as captain of the new dynasty's royal guard and says she will escort Godfrey to the new king, whom he declares he will challenge.

Ch. 166Past and present

The Black Armored Warrior guided Godfrey through the New Dynasty’s transformed capital, showing him how its government served commoners and how ordinary people had helped defeat the Elden Beast. Impressed by the people’s loyalty and the New King’s reforms, Godfrey insisted on meeting the ruler and set off for the Dark City with a costly teleportation ticket he promised to repay.

  • The Black Armored Warrior dismissed Godfrey’s threat to seize the country, explaining that she trusted her king, and led him into the former Golden Hall, now the State Council Hall.
  • The Black Armored Warrior explained that the New Dynasty had abolished noble titles, provided commoners with education and medical care, and selected officials through open examinations, leaving Godfrey shaken by the changes.
  • The Black Armored Warrior told Godfrey that Thops had protected Leyndell from the Elden Beast with his barrier, and explained that Vyke had shielded Thops and been pardoned by the New King.
  • Godfrey saw Vyke, now frail and amnesiac, with the Frenzied Flame Witch, and became eager to meet the New Dynasty’s founder.
  • The Black Armored Warrior bought Godfrey a teleportation ticket to the Dark City and told him to repay her, leaving him unsure where he would get the money.

Ch. 167The Final Battle

Godfrey challenged Tarnished for the Lands Between, but Tarnished defeated him in a brutal duel at the Gate of Divinity and welcomed him afterward. Ten years later, Godfrey read bedtime stories to children before joining Tarnished and their companions for drinks as the story ended with Tarnished having won the world.

  • Godfrey met Tarnished at the Gate of Divinity and said he would take the country because he had promised Marika to create the world she wanted.
  • Tarnished explained his scholars’ theory that the Greater Will had granted Marika power after noticing her suffering, then proposed fighting at the Gate to save demolition costs.
  • Godfrey broke Tarnished’s ornamental sword and battered him, but Tarnished removed his armor, seized the advantage, and fought him hand to hand.
  • Siluria arrived and cheered for Tarnished after the Black Armored Warrior reminded her she still had mortgage payments; Tarnished defeated Godfrey with a headbutt and offered to buy him drinks.
  • Ten years later, Godfrey finished reading a story to children and went with the Black Armored Warrior to Rennala’s Tavern, where Tarnished and their companions celebrated together.
