They had thought Xiu Yuan would order them to subjugate some Demon God, but instead, he was sending them to catch fish!?
"Your Majesty, are you asking the five of us to catch fish?" Bosacius asked in disbelief.
"Yes. Was I not clear enough?" Xiu Yuan asked back.
"No, no, we'll go right away."
"Just walk there normally, and do the same on your way back. Don't rush. As long as you're back before sunset, that's fine."
It was noon, with plenty of time left before sunset. Xiu Yuan intended to let them unwind out in the wilderness on their own.
Given his position of authority, joining them would only restrain their natural inclinations. They would not be able to let loose around him.
Full of questions, the five Yakshas descended Mt. Tianheng and slowly headed northwest, as though out for a stroll.
"Have you noticed that this King is different from most Demon Gods...?" Indarias began as they walked.
"So I'm not the only one who feels that way," Bonanus immediately replied, as though she had found a kindred spirit.
"He's so composed. It makes me feel safe, as though he wouldn't panic even if the sky came crashing down," Indarias offered her opinion.
"To have such a steady temperament in these turbulent, war-torn times is truly remarkable. Watching him drink tea made me wonder for a moment whether the war had already ended."
"He isn't the God of War people talk about outside. In fact, no one outside seems to know his title at all. This is the first I've heard of Liyue having a Dark Night King."
"He doesn't seem to care about any of that. It's as though nothing can catch his attention."
On their way to Small Creek, the Yakshas all joined in the discussion.
