Inazuma, Narukami Island.
"Hurry, hurry! If we're too slow, we won't get a good spot!" a smiling little girl urged.
"Don't rush, Yaya. It's still early. The sun isn't even up yet."
The middle-aged man spoke a little breathlessly, carrying a huge pile of things on his back.
"It's not early! Any later and we'll only get a spot off in some corner." The little girl named Yaya seemed very familiar with the place.
As they spoke, more people approached, carrying bags of all sizes.
"Dad, hurry! Someone's going to take our spot!" Seeing things taking a bad turn, the little girl quickly grabbed her father and pulled him inside.
At the sight, everyone else quickened their pace as well, entering that paradise on earth.
This was a special festival, so special that before the sun even had a chance to rise, the people of Watatsumi Island and Yashiori Island were already sailing toward Narukami Island.
Everyone wore a happy smile. Most of what they carried was food for the day, along with some cards to play games with.
The people of the Tenryou Commission had taken up their posts at the docks even earlier.
When the ship from Yashiori Island slowly docked, they welcomed its passengers with smiles.
"Happy festival!" The people disembarking were the first to greet the Shogunate Army soldiers guarding the harbor.
"Happy festival. You're here so early," the soldiers replied with faint smiles.
"Yes. We came late last year, and there weren't any spots left. This year, we have to get a good one."
"Even if you don't go into the cherry grove, there are plenty of fun things to do on Narukami Island," one soldier said.
"That's true, but we want to go greet that great man, too." The old man smiled kindly.
