Well, damn!
Kazuha could only exclaim, "Well, damn!"
This whole thing had been planned from the start.
"What are you standing around for? Hurry up and catch them. It's almost dark. You won't be able to sleep soaking wet, and you'll catch a cold."
"You..."
"Damn it. I'll settle this with you later."
Swallowing his humiliation, Kazuha focused on catching fish.
He was furious, but Xiu Yuan was right. If he spent the night soaking wet, he would definitely wake up with a cold and fever.
Revenge could wait. It was better to take care of the urgent matter first.
After quite a while, Kazuha caught five fish. That ought to be enough.
Once they had strung the fish onto a vine they found, they immediately set off. The sky had already gone dark, after all.
After walking for quite some time, they finally reached a small town.
But only one house had its lights on.
Kazuha's eyes lit up, and he immediately ran over. Just as he was about to knock, Xiu Yuan stopped him.
"I didn't help you catch the fish, so leave this awkward part to me."
Kazuha froze for a moment, and his eyes brightened as he looked at Xiu Yuan.
He hadn't expected this guy to actually have a conscience.
With that thought, Kazuha let Xiu Yuan take over.
Taking the five fish from Kazuha, Xiu Yuan gently knocked on the door.
A middle-aged man answered.
"Can I help you?" he asked first.
"Hello. We're travelers from Mondstadt. We ran into a downpour on the road and lost our way. We're soaked through, and we're afraid of encountering evil creatures at night, so we were hoping to stay here for the night."
As he spoke, Xiu Yuan offered the fresh fish with a faint smile.
