The footsteps drew closer and closer. Panic crossed the Stellaron's face, and it urged:
"Cocolia, drive them back!"
At those words, Cocolia glanced at the Stellaron and said softly:
"You still haven't fulfilled your promise to me. Have you been lying to me all along?"
"What are you talking about?" the Stellaron demanded. "Haven't you felt the power I promised you?"
"I have." Cocolia extended her hand, and ice and snow slowly forged a spear in her palm. Energy surged with tremendous force. She closed her eyes in rapture. "The power within me is singing."
After a pause, she opened her eyes, looked down at the Stellaron, and sneered:
"I am immensely powerful now. And you are pitifully weak. Why should I still obey you? You're merely a consciousness of the Stellaron. Without you, perhaps I could control the Stellaron myself!"
As she spoke, Cocolia turned toward the Stellaron's true body inside the Stellaron Restraint Device.
It shone with dazzling golden light.
Cocolia floated into the air and reached out to touch the Stellaron.
On the ground, a flicker of terror appeared on the face of the puppet possessed by the Stellaron's will.
"Humans truly are foolish, lowly creatures. Their eyes and ears work perfectly well, yet they turn a blind eye to the power stored here," Cocolia murmured. "Now, I am the only one who can understand this power.
"And I alone can control it.
"Belobog's fate has long since been sealed. The New World will unfold in my hands.
"I am this world's only hope."
Cocolia pressed her hand against the Stellaron. If the power she had wielded before was a stream, then now, an endless river was surging through her!
So this was how powerful the Stellaron truly was!
Just then, a red laser blast descended from
