When Chu Mu heard Asta's theory, he couldn't help asking curiously:
"Wouldn't the black hole swallow the Black Sun too?"
"No. There's still some distance between it and the Black Sun, and its mass hasn't changed, so its gravitational pull is still the same. The two still form a stable binary system, orbiting each other," Asta said earnestly. "That's why, even though one sun has vanished, these planets are still moving along their original orbits without any disruption."
She paused, then continued:
"In short, the Red Sun hasn't disappeared. We just can't observe it anymore! We can't let religious charlatans fool us!"
"Are you sure?" Chu Mu asked.
"Not a hundred percent. The Red Sun disappeared far too quickly. I've never seen a star collapse into a black hole that fast before. It skipped every intermediate stage," Asta said with a sigh. "But I can't think of a better explanation."
"We'll learn the truth once we reach Skorint," Chu Mu said calmly.
"True. We'll be able to use the observation equipment there." Asta smiled again.
Their conversation over, Chu Mu returned to his room and shut the door.
Then he activated his Path ability and entered that fabricated black-and-white space.
Chu Mu looked up.
Above the black-and-white lines, a crimson sun stared down at him like a blood-red eye.
Chu Mu's heart sank a little.
Compared to yesterday, the sun had drawn a little closer to him.
Chu Mu could even feel the scorching heat radiating from it.
Ever since the Black Sun had devoured the Red Sun, a sun like this had appeared in Chu Mu's fabricated black-and-white space.
He had no doubt that it was the vanished Red Sun!
Why had it appeared here?
Why was it getting closer and closer to him?
*If it came any closer,
