At the Huaxu Academy, five researchers sat in a row before a massive machine, their consciousnesses already immersed in the holographic domain.
"Hey, is this Holographic Projection of Crownless really as powerful as they say? This is way too over the top!" one researcher asked skeptically.
Invited to control a Resonator Phantom, he looked at Ling An standing before him.
The scene resembled a challenger facing the final boss in a Soulslike game.
"Very powerful. Don't let your guard down. If they dare call him the monarch of Tacet Discords, he must have skills that let him control them. Stay sharp, everyone!"

A beam of golden light descended before him.
Ling An called out clearly, "Glacio Rider, engage the enemy."
Wreathed in roaring flames and astride Ghostfire, Glacio Rider appeared in an instant, blocking the way.
"Overlord-Class? Interesting. Too bad the one I'm controlling is Overlord-Class too!" the researcher shouted, sending his Resonator Phantom lunging forward to clash with Glacio Rider.
Then Ling An slowly turned his gaze toward the remaining enemies.
Without pausing, he issued a string of commands: "Bell-Ringing Turtle, Thunderclap Scale, Glory of Treading Light, Sorrowful Cry, engage the enemy!"
Four Tacet Discords appeared in quick succession and charged at their opponents.
"Holy crap, Crownless really can summon Tacet Discords!" the researchers exclaimed, each controlling their Resonator Phantom to engage one of Ling An's summons.
"If you wish to face me, you must first overcome this trial!" Ling An declared in a low voice.
