"..."
At a railing somewhere beneath the starry sky, Classic was practicing stealth.
"Uh... buddy?"
Murder couldn't help asking Classic.
"What exactly are you doing?"
"I think... we should at least keep the other monsters here from seeing our faces."
Classic raised a finger in a shushing gesture.
"I really don't think that's necessary."
Murder leaned openly against the railing, and Killer did the same beside him.
"Besides... seemingly normal me, you know what? This peaceful, beautiful timeline is a genocide route."
It would have been fine if Killer hadn't brought it up, but she just had to mention it.
The scene in the Judgment Hall replayed in Classic's mind.
Classic picked up the heart-shaped pendant on his chest and stayed silent for a long time.
Murder barely reacted. The genocide routes he'd been through could have joined hands and stretched all the way around the Underground.
Still, the sea of stars filling the sky... had a charm all its own.
"Wow~ a meteor shower!!"
"It really is!!"
The monsters below cheered at the meteor shower.
"A meteor shower...?"
Classic looked up.
Countless stars filled the sky, the Milky Way stretched vast above them, and every so often, a few meteors streaked past.
A smile slowly spread across Classic's face.
"A meteor shower..."
Murder studied the sky, hoping to etch this scene into his memory.
"...Nothing like this ever happened in my timeline..."
Classic looked at Murder with a hint of concern.
"...Was it because of that human...?"
"That's right."
Murder admitted it.
"Only for a little while... that human only let me see the sunset for a brief moment after the Barrier shattered..."
"Then... it was nothing but endless genocide routes..."
Murder shook his head.
"Sorry, I got carried away..."
"No, it's okay... when you put it that way... what you went through... was even worse than what I did..."
Neither of them said anything more. They continued admiring the beautiful Milky Way.
"Uh... looks like we've got a few impostors?"
A female voice sounded behind them.
"Turn around. Do you know how to shake hands with a new friend?"
The three looked at one another, and finally, Classic held out his hand with a whoopee cushion in it.
He clasped another hand that also held a whoopee cushion.
"Pfffft-"
The enormous fart shook the heavens and earth. It could even be heard as far away as the indoor MTT stage.
"...Heh heh heh... I really didn't expect that..."
Outer found the result quite amusing.
"I'm Sans. Sans the skeleton. And you?"
"Pretty much the same for all three of us. It's urgent, uh, buddy? Have you seen a... someone who looks a lot like you and me?"
"Nope."
Outer rubbed her head.
"But I'm on my after-dinner break right now. Why don't I take you around to look?"
"Sure."
Classic nodded.
"But... uh... let me ask..."
Outer pointed at Murder and Killer in turn.
"These two... what's their deal?"
