Sonic.EXE raised an eyebrow, firing wave after wave from his hands, determined to trap Satsujin in an illusion.

But Satsujin dodged every last one!
"Insanity, what did you see in the illusion just now?"
Killer asked out of curiosity. With Murder handling the dodging, she had little to do at the moment.
"His illusions show you scenes that can draw you in so deeply you can't escape..."
Insanity still sounded a little shaken.
"If you hadn't fused, I probably wouldn't have broken free of the illusion anytime soon."
"Oh..."
"Killer, Insanity, attack him! Why are you just watching me dodge?"
Satsujin glanced back. He had been dodging nonstop, so why had those two hands behind him started slacking off?
"All right."
Killer pointed her dagger-wielding hand at Sonic.EXE. Countless Shock Waves instantly materialized in the air, all aimed at the hedgehog demon.
Insanity also pointed the hand holding the skull at Sonic.EXE. More Shock Waves appeared in the gaps between Killer's, their energy likewise aimed straight at Sonic.EXE, radiating an earth-shaking might.

Sonic.EXE tilted his head up slightly. Rather than take their Shock Waves head-on, he chose to retreat for now.
Seeing this, Satsujin advanced slowly. The Shock Waves kept forming and firing, filling the sky with the remnants of spent energy.
Why was this powerful demon retreating?
Satsujin didn't know, but he realized he had to end this quickly. As time passed, he could feel their three souls drawing ever closer together.
