(From now on, the story will follow Ye Yu's perspective, because Linde and Frisk are now his final bosses. Following their perspectives would mean missing a lot.)
Ye Yu woke in a patch of flowers. Expressionless, he brushed the petals off his body and rose without haste.
"It's begun..." Stripped of emotion, he gave it no thought and felt no guilt. "Then... let the slaughter begin."
Yet there wasn't a single monster left in the Ruins.
"Hey, what happened?" Ye Yu asked the subsystem.
Yes, to prevent anything unexpected from happening, the Error-Checking System had split off a portion of its power to serve as a subsystem and enter this world alongside Ye Yu.
"The king issued an order for all the monsters to take refuge in the Royal Capital," the subsystem answered.
"Then how am I supposed to raise my LOVE?" Ye Yu asked irritably.
"Hehehe, in a kingdom this big, there are always a few forgotten souls, aren't there?" the subsystem replied. "For instance... why not take a look at the lower level of the Ruins?"
Following the little ball of light, Ye Yu discovered a strange opening. "I see..."
"No! You can't do this!" Linde clung to the iron bars, his face filled with grief and fury.
After locking the gate, Asgore said firmly, "Neither of you is to leave. Flowey told me that this creature isn't human, and it can absorb your souls..."
Frisk's heart tightened at the news, but she still refused to give up. "But does that mean you can handle it?"
She tried desperately to bend the iron bars, but they refused to budge.
Asgore fell silent for a moment, then slowly shook his head. "I don't know."
Frisk and Linde exchanged a glance. Neither could follow Asgore's reasoning anymore.
Asgore let out a long sigh and explained helplessly, "It won't make any difference. What we're up against is a being that can rewind time..."
"And that's your reason for going out there to die?!" Linde demanded, unable to contain himself.
Asgore turned to look at Linde and answered calmly, "That's still better than letting you two go out there to die." With that, he turned and left.
Furious, Linde swung his fists and hammered the iron bars, every punch carrying the power of the determination within him.
Yet no matter how hard he tried, the iron bars remained unbreakable, without even the slightest dent.
There was one thing he hadn't had time to tell the monsters-the truly formidable enemy was still far from arriving. What awaited them in eight days was the real disaster.
(I've already racked my brains to make Linde and Frisk the final bosses. If you still don't understand why things turned out this way, just leave your brain here.)
Meanwhile.
[Ye Yu] [LV 3] [HP 28/28] [Attack 99(99)] [EXP 120] [Defense 5(0)] [180 to next level] [Weapon ???] [Armor None] [Gold 52]
Ye Yu was hunting down a bat monster named Decibat (the sonic bat monster from Undertale Yellow).
As Decibat fled, he frantically spat out sound waves, trying to stop Ye Yu's charge.
But Ye Yu had no soul at all. Magic attacks that targeted the soul couldn't hurt him in the slightest. None of it had any effect.
Decibat darted away and escaped into a secret passage in the Dalv House (Dalv, the Ruins boss in UT Yellow).
Suddenly, Decibat felt as though he had briefly slipped into a daze. He didn't dwell on it, however, and hid beneath the bridge to set his planned ambush.
A chilling smile spread across Ye Yu's face as he slowly walked onto the bridge.
Listening as the sound waves drew closer, Decibat burst out from beneath the bridge and rammed toward Ye Yu, trying to knock him into the abyss.
But Ye Yu suddenly reached out and blocked him.
Decibat's pupils abruptly contracted. Impossible! No living creature could possibly react that fast!
Ye Yu raised the long blade in his hand, flickering with code errors, and drove it savagely into Decibat's chest.
Decibat instantly turned to dust and scattered. Ye Yu drew back his blade, a flash of red passing through his eyes.
"An interesting monster. Made me reload once..." Ye Yu said as he pushed open the door leading from the Dalv House to southern Snowdin...
