A fine drizzle began to fall, and Undyne appeared on the rooftop of a building in a flash.
"This guy..." Undyne stared at Ye Yu and found him staring coldly back at her.
There was not a trace of emotion in Ye Yu's eyes, but a suppressed, frenzied bloodlust lurked within them. Even she had to admit that his gaze sent a chill down her spine.
Still, she quickly brushed aside that strange feeling. Rather than waste any more words on Ye Yu, she muttered to herself:
"What was that game Linde mentioned called again... Oh, now I remember." Then she gave Ye Yu her trademark confident grin. "Kid, have you heard of Touhou?"
Touhou? Ye Yu did not understand what Undyne meant, but a second later, he found out.
A white light flashed, its intense glare nearly blinding Ye Yu-Undyne had entered her determination form.
At some point, she had donned a suit of armor, and a holy radiance shone around her.
Undyne spread her hands, and an invisible force suddenly erupted outward from her.
Endless spears spread in every direction like a raging tide, each gleaming coldly and radiating a deadly menace.
Their numbers defied imagination. They crisscrossed through the air, spreading farther and farther until they blotted out half the sky.
The spears obscured the sky and sun, exerting an overwhelming pressure.
Had Linde been there, he would surely have let loose a classic Chinese curse, because this was no ordinary Determination Fish. She resembled the super-evolved Determination Fish from Glitchtale!
Ye Yu saw a notification from the Subsystem-
[She can only maintain this for ten minutes. Hold out until then, and victory is yours!]
With the power of determination, Undyne could use magic without limit, and the already crowded sky grew even denser with spears.
She thrust her right hand toward Ye Yu, and countless spears instantly became a raging torrent that surged toward him.
This time, Undyne was not thinking about any "fair and square duel," nor would she give Ye Yu a spear to block her attacks. After all, he already had a long blade in his hand.
Against magical attacks, however, a long blade or spear could form a protective barrier in the direction it was held, easily blocking every attack coming from that direction.
But this time, the attacks were physical.
Physical attacks could only be effectively intercepted by blocking them directly through physical means.
Facing the spears surging toward him like a flood, Ye Yu's pupils instantly contracted.
The densely packed spears swept toward him from every direction, bearing an overwhelming pressure.
Ye Yu tightened his grip on his long blade and, at the last possible moment, slashed fiercely.
Infused with the power of his determination, the slash whistled through the air and collided violently with a small portion of the leading spears.
His tremendous strength knocked those few spears aside, sending them off course to scatter around him.
But there were simply too many spears. The remaining attacks continued surging toward him like a tide, impossible to stop.
Ye Yu could only watch helplessly as the spears hurtled toward him.
Then every one of those spears passed straight through his body without resistance.

Within seconds, unsurprisingly, Ye Yu was back at the death screen.
Ye Yu crouched in the Void Space once again, considering his options. This time, he thought for a very, very long time.
At last, a gleam flashed through his eyes.
Load.
After gaining determination, Undyne could sense changes in the timeline.
Now she understood why Ye Yu had put the monsters so on edge.
"Ha... Rewinding time... Looks like I'm bound to lose..." Undyne did not give up because of that. Instead, her resolve grew even stronger. Even if her death was certain, she would do everything in her power to defeat the guy before her!
The spears surged toward Ye Yu again. This time, he did not respond immediately, instead channeling all his determination into the tip of his blade until the entire weapon began to glow.
(Think of the charged attack from "Da Ren Wu.")
Then Ye Yu swung again. A massive arc of light collided with the spears in the air, annihilating a vast swath of the incoming barrage.
Ye Yu looked up and found that Undyne had vanished from the rooftop. Suddenly, he heard the rush of wind beside his ear.
Without the slightest hesitation, Ye Yu turned and slashed behind him, just in time to block Undyne's kick.
But before Ye Yu could react, Undyne seized his wrist and hurled him over her shoulder!
HP -40
Ye Yu felt as though the throw had nearly shattered him. He hurriedly retreated several steps, no longer even considering a counterattack. All he wanted now was to survive those ten minutes.
Linde sat in the locked room behind the Throne, lost in unknown thoughts. Behind his back, the hand hidden from Frisk's sight began to give off an even darker aura...
