In this world, monsters retained their original strength, while humans possessed traits unique to this world. As someone who had crossed over from another world, Linde also acquired the physical constitution of its humans.

Unlike other transmigrators, however, Linde had crossed over in body rather than soul and had been rejuvenated, going from nineteen years old to eleven.

Deep within Linde lay an obsession (to be revealed later), which made his determination far stronger than that of an ordinary person-even stronger than Flowey's.

Flowey's determination already surpassed that of ordinary humans, as was clear from the conversations with Flowey on the genocide route.

Even so, Frisk still possessed the strongest determination of all humans. The author will do everything possible to provide a reasonable explanation for this premise.

The author will also expand on Frisk's backstory, but since the original game did not cover it, this material will have to be invented by the author.

The determination levels established by the author are:

Humans: 1 unit;

Flowey: 2 units;

Linde: 2.5 units;

Frisk: 3 units;

Genocide-route Frisk: 6 units;

Six-soul nightmare flower: 5 units (the souls' determination cannot be fully used because the souls resist);

Seven-soul goat: 5 units (monsters have no determination within them);

Frisk during the fight against the seven-soul goat: 6 units (because the determination to protect everything is exceptionally strong).

In this world, monsters were energy-based beings, while humans were material beings. Because of this fundamental difference, monsters could not contain the power of determination. Even if they acquired determination, they would melt because they could not withstand its immense power. The amalgamates and the determination-powered fish were typical examples.

One special premise in this story is worth mentioning: monsters' bodies could become material. The exact method will be addressed later in the story.

In addition, monsters fed on pure life energy, so they did not need to excrete after eating, and their food could also restore HP.

Next, there is Flowey. Flowey was neither human nor monster (strictly speaking, Flowey could not even be considered Asriel, merely a being with Asriel's memories).

This was confirmed by Alphys's experimental records in the True Lab. It also explained why Flowey could absorb not only human souls but monster souls as well.

The Underground was a very special place-precisely because it was enclosed by the barrier, any soul that had not completely dissipated would remain sealed within it. That was why even Chara's soul, despite having been absorbed and even shattered, could still return from the dead through certain means.

Then there is determination, a power governed very much by the mind. Almost no monster could defeat a human single-handedly unless that monster also possessed determination.

Humans could use determination to enhance every aspect of themselves, allowing the humans of this world to display superhuman combat abilities. The stronger their determination, the greater the enhancement. Increasing LOVE could also increase determination.

Furthermore, determination was entirely governed by the mind. When someone's will was exceptionally resolute, their determination could even double.

Monsters had no determination to begin with, but they could still develop it. The condition was that their conviction had to be so strong that they would accomplish their goal even if it meant dying hundreds or thousands of times.

However, without a material vessel to contain it, determination would soon melt a monster's body (a salute to Undyne, a true hero!).

Finally, happy reading, everyone!
