They caught Linde and Frisk securely, sparing them another round of injuries from hitting the ground.
"Hiss... my ears hurt!" Linde grimaced in pain. Instinctively, he reached up to touch his ears and felt something warm and wet on his hand.
He looked down to find his fingers covered in blood.
His eardrums had ruptured.
Linde turned to Frisk beside him and found that she was in no better shape.
Fortunately, Linde quickly recovered his wits. With swift movements of his hands, he sent out two healing magic orbs that shimmered with green light.
The orbs struck him and Frisk with perfect accuracy. Their healing power took effect instantly, and the injuries to their ears quickly healed.
By contrast, the two monsters whose bodies were made of magic seemed completely unbothered.
They appeared to have a natural resistance to the Great Dragon's roar and had suffered no harm whatsoever.
Before anyone could breathe a sigh of relief, however, the Great Dragon opened its enormous maw again, apparently preparing to unleash another terrifying roar.
Linde did not dare hesitate. With a shout, he thrust both hands forward, and a dazzling energy shield materialized before him.
But the Great Dragon's roar was far too powerful this time. The invisible sound waves struck the energy shield like an unstoppable Sharp Sword.
With a sharp crack, the seemingly impregnable shield shattered into countless fragments in the blink of an eye, dissolving into specks of starlight in the air.
