"Tris, where have you been going on weekends lately? How come I never see you during the day?"
One afternoon in late February, Harry went skating and happened to run into Tris by the lake. According to the older students, the ice on the Black Lake was usually rather thin by this time of year, and anyone who tried skating would probably fall through.
But the cold weather seemed to have arrived a little later that year, and the lake was still frozen solid at the end of February. Ginny had dragged Harry over to teach her to skate.
Harry didn't really understand it himself. He wasn't much of a skater, while Fred and George were both very good. Why had Ginny asked him instead of her own brothers?
Still, Ginny was such a sweet little girl, and she was the younger sister of his best friends, Ron and Tris. How could Harry refuse her request?
As for running into Tris here, that was quite a surprise. Lately, he had been nowhere to be found during the day on weekends and hadn't even attended the Quidditch Matches.
Tris looked positively delighted, his face alight with excitement.
Seeing Harry and Ginny together gave him the feeling that someone was about to steal away his precious little sister. But since the two were canonically a couple anyway, he raised no objections and instead asked, "What about you two? What are you off to do?"
"Oh, Ginny asked me to teach her to skate," Harry said.
"You? Teach her to skate?" Tris blinked, looking from Harry to Ginny.
Oh, give me a bloody break!
Ginny had loved skating since she was little. If she wanted, she could easily go into the ordinary world and join the junior training program for Britain's national figure
