I was such an idiot. Truly.

I knew Dad was setting off with the Weasley family. How did I forget how close they were to Harry?

Watching the girl I liked holding hands with someone else really hurt.

Cedric, whom many girls called Hogwarts' golden boy, tried hard to keep smiling, but the twitch at the corner of his mouth betrayed his heartache.

Arthur and Amos Diggory failed to notice. Harry and Cho Chang deliberately ignored it. Everyone else was simply enjoying the show.

Especially Fred and George.

They were in Cedric's year, and he consistently outshone them at school. Even at home, Molly often nagged them about how their grades fell short of Cedric's.

Amos was obsessed with bragging about his son, which sometimes prompted Arthur to lecture the twins as well. Add in how often the girls in their year went on about Cedric's pretty face, and how could they possibly like him?

Seeing him looking like a defeated rooster put them in a wonderful mood.

They were even happier than when they trounced Hufflepuff on the Quidditch Pitch.

Amid that peculiar atmosphere, the group reached a secluded spot.

"This is the Portkey we're using today," Arthur said, pointing to a battered leather boot.

The children, who had already watched several matches and used plenty of Portkeys, felt nothing out of the ordinary. They placed their hands on it, and after a dizzying whirl, found themselves back at the campsite.

Meanwhile, Molly had already brought Hermione to the campsite and was waiting for them at the entrance.

Hermione hadn't watched the earlier matches. Her holiday was busy. Although she had become a witch, she didn't want to lose touch with the ordinary world entirely, so she had been teaching herself Muggle secondary-school subjects during the holidays.
