"I think you need some more sleep, Hagrid." Standing at the hut's door, Su Er waved away Hagrid's invitation to come in for a cup of tea.
"Woof..." Fang shook his head, his tail wagging wildly.
"All right." Hagrid scratched his head sheepishly. "The mead was just too good, and I ended up drinking too much. Sorry. I promised we'd come back after a look around Hogsmeade."
"It's all right, Hagrid. I'll remember last night's wonderful experience for the rest of my life," Su Er said with a smile.
"See you, then."
Hagrid waved instinctively, watching Su Er walk away with a bewildered expression. "Is Su Er angry? Why did his tone sound off? What do you think, Fang?"
"Grrr... woof!" Fang barked loudly, raising a paw to bang hard on his food bowl.
Where the hell's my food?!
The first thing Su Er did after returning to the common room was head to the bathroom for a proper bath. It had been very warm in the Three Broomsticks, and he had sweated all over before the cool wind outside dried him off, leaving his whole body sticky.
Scourgify could take care of that, but bathing was a pleasure for the soul.
As for why he hadn't bathed at the Hog's Head? That damned room didn't even have a bathroom!!!
Besides, even if it had, Su Er wouldn't have bathed there. Who knew whether a gigantic cockroach or a centipede might scuttle out halfway through?
