Su Er waited an entire day, but Hermione never came downstairs to see him.

There was nothing for it. If Hermione wouldn't come to him, he would go to her.

(Taken from a story in the Quran. Original wording: "If the mountain will not come to me, I will go to it.")

The Granger family's car engine started at eight in the morning sharp. Only after making sure Mr. Granger wouldn't turn back halfway did Su Er tiptoe into Hermione's house.

Wait, hang on. Why am I sneaking around like this?

So Su Er went straight to Mrs. Granger without a trace of guilt. "I'm here to see Hermione, Aunt Granger. Is she up yet?"

"Not yet." Mrs. Granger was turning the meat in the frying pan. "She's upstairs. Could you go and call her down for me, little Su Er? Sorry for the trouble."

"Sure, Aunt Granger."

With permission granted, Su Er headed upstairs along the familiar route.

Knock, knock...

"Coming, Mum." Hermione's footsteps sounded from behind the door, along with a voice that was still just as clear after a month and a half.

With a click, the door unlocked.

"Good morning, Hermione." Su Er smiled at the little girl in pajamas, her bushy hair a tangled mess.

Perhaps because she had only just woken up, Hermione was a little groggy. Then her eyes widened.

"AAAAH!!!!" A scream loud enough to reach the garden rang out. Then the door slammed shut so hard that Su Er felt the floor shake.

He rubbed his ears with a pained expression. How could Hermione's tiny frame unleash so much power? His eardrums were about to burst!

"What's wrong? What happened?" Mrs. Granger hurried upstairs in alarm, still holding her spatula.

Su Er looked at her innocently as he rubbed his ears.
