The squad of centaurs moving through the dense forest stopped at a gesture from their leader. For now, let us call this centaur the captain.
As everyone knew, a spell without sound and light effects was no good spell.
The Exploding Charms Su Er and the others had cast made quite a racket in the quiet forest, effectively giving the centaurs searching for them a guide.
Had he not been something of a riddle-speaker himself, the centaur captain would surely have had ten thousand curses to utter.
Although the priest had given him a task, he had provided no precise location, only a direction. The Forbidden Forest was enormous, not merely a corner of the Hogwarts grounds as marked on the map.
Without a clear direction toward their target, they could still find them, but it would inevitably take time.

Compared with the silence on the centaurs' side, Su Er and the others were making quite a commotion.
The spiders pursued them extremely quickly. Though the string of spells had left them stunned for several minutes, that still did not prevent them from catching up with the four in the Forbidden Forest.
"Confringo!"
Fred turned and cast a spell, driving back a particularly fast spider, then looked at Su Er, panting heavily.
"This isn't looking too good."
"Impedimenta!" Su Er likewise turned and cast a spell. "It's not too bad. I can still cast a few more spells. Can you still run?"
"I... huh... I can cast... two more Exploding Charms at most. How are these spiders so fast in the Forbidden Forest?" George said
