In the dimly lit room, Su Er looked with some surprise at the old man before him, whose appearance was terrifying but whose disposition was actually fairly kind.

Dumbledore had asked Moody to do something?

What was it?

Could it be...

Su Er had a vague guess, and the answer was soon revealed.

"As a good friend of your father's, Dumbledore thought I was the right person to do this." Moody sighed softly.

"But personally, I don't want you involved. It's too dangerous, child. In my eyes, you're still a little too inexperienced. But I respect Dumbledore, and I respect your choice."

"Are you willing to join the Order of the Phoenix?"

Dumbledore had asked Moody to extend the invitation, probably partly because of Moody's deep friendship with Su Er's parents, and partly because he wanted Moody to witness the younger generation taking their parents' place and becoming what their parents had been.
