"Is that all?"
The casual voice, laden with provocation, rang in the ears of the seven young wizards holding their wands, entered their cochleas, and traveled to their cerebral cortices. Their brains worked diligently, perfectly conveying the disdain in Su Er's tone.
At the same time, their brains swiftly sent instructions to their bodies.
The seven young wizards' ears reddened slightly with shame.
Another volley of spells immediately followed. This time, Su Er still dodged them with ease.
"We can't just keep firing blindly." The dependable Cedric realized what the problem was and took command. "We need a plan."
"You lead!" Zacharias Smith shouted at once.
None of the others objected.
In fact, in a normal duel, Su Er should have used magic to knock his opponents down and claim victory by now. But he did not. He remained standing there, utterly at ease, watching the young wizards quickly huddle together and whisper.
Fortunately, they did not keep him waiting long. After just thirty or forty seconds, the young wizards scattered. Smith stood directly in front of him, using minor jinxes that required little magic to distract Su Er, while the others jogged briskly to their assigned positions according to the tactics they had just discussed.
Those minor jinxes did not even graze the hem of Su Er's clothes.
Of course, these jinxes were not their real attack, merely a smokescreen.
Once the seven had roughly formed a circle around Su Er, Zacharias Smith, standing in front of him, launched the first proper, considerably powerful spell.
Oh, now this was getting a little interesting.
Unsurprisingly, spells that traveled straight ahead were the easiest to dodge. But just as Su Er shifted his body to one side, a steady yet slightly youthful incantation came from that direction, accompanied by a vivid
