One after another, Su Er spotted more Ravenclaw students on the various floors.
Without exception, none of them paid any attention to Su Er's Animagus form. At most, they muttered about someone failing to keep their pet shut in and letting it escape.
What were they looking for?
Something that required waiting until there were hardly any people in the castle?
Puzzled, Su Er roamed the castle. He even tailed several groups of students, but apart from exchanges like-
"Found it?"
"No."
"Hurry up. Let's try somewhere else. Someone up ahead said the match was nearly over."
-there was naturally no useful information to be gleaned from conversations like these.
Su Er had to admit that his curiosity had been piqued. He discovered that the vast majority of Ravenclaws had stayed in the castle, which was very strange.
Come to think of it, the few Ravenclaws who had joined the Defence Against Dark Magic group at the gathering had indeed been acting strangely. Not only were they somewhat distracted during lessons, but they also kept huddling together and whispering during training. If anyone approached, they would pretend to shout a few spells, acting as though they were practising.
When Su Er reached the castle's ground floor, hurried footsteps sounded from outside. He darted behind a pillar and peered out.
Wearing a Gryffindor scarf, Professor McGonagall strode ahead with a grim expression, followed by George, whose lips were badly swollen, and Harry, whose fingers were curled at distinctly unnatural angles.
Su Er was rather surprised. Why did Harry and George look as though they had been in a fight? What had happened on the pitch?
