Easter fell on the first Sunday after the full moon following the spring equinox each year.
As usual, Hogwarts Castle had a two-week holiday at Easter, and there was one more D.A. meeting before the holiday began.
Just as Su Er, disguised as Mr. Aibo, waved his wand and strung up three young wizards who had overestimated themselves, a House-elf came stumbling in.
"Hey, Dobby!" Harry cried in surprise. "How did you-what happened?"
Dobby had come to warn them. Just as in the original story, the D.A. meeting had been exposed.
Everyone stared dumbstruck at the House-elf, who was struggling desperately, trying to hurt himself for disobeying orders. For a moment, they failed to react.
"What are you standing around for? Run!" Harry was the first to shout.
Everyone snapped out of it and surged toward the door.
Amid the chaos, no one noticed Su Er pull Hermione aside, cast a Disillusionment Charm, and hide in a corner of the room. He did not intervene, nor did he go outside to drive away the hounds coming to search, because he knew that everyone here could escape except Harry.
This whole disturbance had been aimed at Harry from the start.
Dumbledore had also deliberately allowed it to happen, using the disturbance to shake off the eyes watching him-in other words, turning the enemy's scheme to his own advantage, as in "Zhang Zifang Presents a Shoe at Yi Bridge."
It had to be said that Fudge and Umbridge had provided a splendid assist this time.
The young wizards made a tremendous racket. Once the first person rushed out, everyone behind followed in a great wave. Harry brought up the rear, somehow taking Ginny's small hand in one hand while scooping up the still-struggling Dobby with the other, and rushed out too.
