Without Quidditch practice hanging over his head, Harry had a little time after class, and lately he had become very fond of visiting Hagrid's Hut.
That day, he brought back some news.
"What?" Hermione put her book down on the table in disbelief with a loud smack. "Hagrid is keeping a-in the Forbidden Forest-"
"Shh..." Harry hurriedly raised a finger to his lips.
Hermione realized with a start that she had been a little too loud, drawing curious looks from the young Wizards. She quickly propped up her book and looked questioningly at Harry. Su Er, who was lying beside her, also raised his eyes slightly.
"Ah, yes." Harry nodded miserably. "A Giant."
"A full sixteen feet tall. Can you imagine? And Hagrid still calls him a runt."
"Umbridge is already looking for ways to make trouble for him. If she finds out Hagrid is keeping a Giant in the Forbidden Forest..." Hermione spoke rather urgently. "Hagrid will be thrown out."
"Actually, ever since someone put a Niffler in Umbridge's office, she's been suspecting Hagrid..." Harry shook his head and said quietly,
"Whether Hagrid brought Grawp into the Forbidden Forest or not, the outcome wouldn't be any different."
"Grawp?"
"Oh, that's the Giant's name," Harry said. "Grawp is Hagrid's younger brother."
"Younger brother?"
"Yes, his half brother. Same mother, different fathers." Harry nodded.
"How lovely that Hagrid still has family left in this world," Hermione remarked with a strange expression.
"Cough..." Beside her, Su Er choked on his saliva.
"All right, then." Hermione sighed helplessly. "Did Hagrid have something in mind when he took you
