"Who is Voldemort?"
"And what are Dementors?"
After hearing Su Er explain that a bald, noseless villain was active in the Wizarding World and trying to start a war, Mr. Ellison asked these questions.
Now Hermione also understood why Su Er wanted their families to leave.
She picked up the explanation, answering Mr. Eric's question.
"They're terrifying monsters that can suck out souls. They were supposed to obey the Ministry of Magic and be confined to an island called Azkaban, but Voldemort's activities led them to rebel against the Ministry and leave Azkaban en masse."
"Voldemort..." Hermione thought for a moment, unsure how to explain this villain, then found a suitable description. "Just think of him as a terrorist."
"And a terrorist fully equipped with heavy weaponry," Su Er added. "That strange hurricane in the western counties a few days ago was his doing."
"But I remember the Wizarding World having a police force-" Mr. Granger said.
"Yes, it does." Su Er nodded. "But the Ministry of Magic itself is a mess right now. The only ones who can stand against Voldemort are Dumbledore's Order of the Phoenix."
"The problem now isn't Voldemort, but those Dementors that have left their prison and are no longer restrained. A lot of innocent people have already been attacked."
"Son." Mr. Ellison's expression suddenly grew grave. "You said these De... Dementors can suck out souls. What would someone whose soul had been sucked out be like?"
"In medical terms, it would be equivalent to brain death," Su Er answered after a moment's thought.
"Then Mr. Bob and his wife..." Mrs. Ellison drew a sharp breath, covering her mouth with her hand.
"Is there any hope of a cure?" Mr. Eric's expression grew even graver.
"Not as far as I know." This time, Su Er
