The meeting ended with Professor Snape and Professor McGonagall refusing to give an inch.
Oh, in fact, it had been forced to end.
Harry was missing. The Aurors on duty at the platform brought the news: they had not seen Harry get off the train.
"Potter may have had some sort of accident." Professor McGonagall frowned.
"There cannot have been an accident, McGonagall," Snape said softly. "I thought you ought to know that Dumbledore has arranged..."
"Even so..." Professor McGonagall shook her head slightly. "The safer a place is, the more careful we ought to be."
"Perhaps you are right." Snape rose unhurriedly. "But personally, I believe Potter may have other ideas. Unable to get his hands on a flying car, he may intend to make a grand entrance halfway through the feast. He has always had a particular fondness for such things. Heh."
If you had stayed in your seat while saying that, without any intention of going out to look for Harry...
You really do show that prickly, secretly caring side of yours to its fullest when it comes to Harry.
Su Er shook his head slightly at the side and rose from his seat as well, forestalling a possible argument by speaking before Snape could take a step.
"How about this? I know Potter too. I'll go and look for him on the train."
"That hardly seems appropriate, Nockhan. The start-of-term feast is about to begin," Professor McGonagall said.
"It's all right. I'll bring Potter back as soon as possible." Su Er shook his head. If his guess was right, Harry was currently lying on the train, covered by the Invisibility Cloak.
"If I remember Headmaster Dumbledore's habits correctly, his speech should come at the end of the feast, shouldn't it?"
He had not expected this incident
