John's journey through the Nine Realms will end with the plot of Thor: Ragnarok, followed by "John's Dynasty" and Avengers: Infinity War.
The main idea is to give the protagonist more cosmic storylines, as well as more involving magic.
For example, the Scarlet Witch's Chaos Magic and the Phoenix Force from X-Men.
There will be some interaction between the magic of the Nine Realms and witchers, along with some magic-related characters.
You might also feel that the protagonist tends to be evenly matched with whoever he faces, or that he's unwilling to ask another version of himself for help or use his prophetic ability.
The main reason is that the protagonist is only one-third of the whole. If just one-third could crush the likes of Captain Marvel to death with his bare hands, his complete self would be far too overpowered.
The Runespoor's Critic is the least liked of the three.
The Sorting Hat said the protagonist had traits from three houses. The Critic is the one whose Gryffindor personality takes the lead, and he enjoys adventures into the unknown.
The Sleepwalker is pure Slytherin, which is why he once considered replacing the Critic so he could leave the dream.
Also, the protagonist had an extremely long lifespan from the very beginning, unlike John in the previous book, who progressed step by step.
His power and extremely long lifespan make him approach many things with a playful attitude.
Things like Apparition are very convenient, but they would make a Gryffindor who yearns for adventure miss out on the scenery along the way.
It began with the Ancient One seeking out John and asking him to safeguard the course of fate.
Then, when the lie appeared, John planted a seed of doubt about fate.
One more thing: who do you think the final boss of this book will be?
