Darcy received a call while competing with others at blowing bubbles in the tavern.
He answered while drinking Gigglewater.
"Hello? Fury?" The smile froze on Darcy's face, and he hurried into the tavern's bathroom and locked the door.
"Sorry, this was the only way I could think of. Not just anyone can meet Snake Lady."
"Don't worry, they won't beat you to death. Johnson is the closest person to Snake Lady. You can meet her through him."
A faint curse involving his relatives came through the phone, and Darcy guiltily hung up.
Someone knocked on the bathroom door, followed by a drunken, slurred voice.
"Did you fall into the toilet? Get out here and go another three hundred rounds!"
Darcy pressed the flush button, opened the door, and went out.
Wracked with guilt, he could only silently pray, Wizard King, please watch over Fury. I hope he's all right.
Then he rushed back out to continue the drinking contest.
