"Hulk?"
John stopped Hulk just as he was about to leap over and grab Peeves.
A fighter who relied on physical attacks was hardly the best choice against a ghost.
The moment Peeves saw John arrive, he fled.
Hulk was still wearing an outfit someone had apparently custom-made for him, with a huge bear-head hat hanging from a statue above the Entrance Hall.
"What are you wearing?" John was rather bewildered by Hulk's unusual outfit.
Seeing a familiar face, Hulk said, "Hulk accepted invitation."
John looked at Hulk's mascot-like getup. Surely the invitation wasn't for the Inter-School League?
"Excuse me, coming through. Please let me through."
"Oh my goodness, it's Lockhart!"
Someone cried out in surprise.
The students swarmed toward the voice.
In an instant, the previously fairly spacious Entrance Hall was packed with people.
Lockhart stumbled under the crush, but his smile never faded. If anything, he looked even happier.
After finally squeezing his way over, Lockhart spotted John and greeted him warmly. "Nothing could delight me more than seeing you at Hogwarts."
John was speechless for a moment. "Was all this your doing?"
"I thought Hogwarts was simply too dull." Without a trace of guilt, Lockhart said proudly, "Like the Quidditch league, it really ought to have a mascot."
"You made Hulk the mascot." John didn't even know what to say.
This was hardly the first time Lockhart had displayed such outrageous audacity.
Besides, he had dared to bring Hulk here without so much as informing Professor McGonagall.
Drawn by the commotion, Professor McGonagall came out and, unsurprisingly, let out a startled cry.
Hulk was all bulging muscle, and he pushed away Filch, who was poking him in the backside.
"Mr. Lockhart, you had better give me an explanation." Professor McGonagall's face was pale and stern.
