There were two routes to Diagon Alley. One was the regular route through Wizard City.
The other was a passage connecting the Leaky Cauldron in London to the Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley.
The automatic order recorder on the counter clattered away, typing out orders.
The young bartender tore off a long strip, checked the food and drinks required, then packed them in batches into bags bearing the Leaky Cauldron's logo.
He then put the bags into a machine beside him that looked completely out of place in the wooden pub. Once he switched it on, a blue light flashed, and the contents vanished.
He repeated the process, sending all the bags away in batches.
"What's that?" asked a curious wizard who had returned from a trip.
The young bartender smiled. "It's the latest teleportation machine, developed by the Magic Technology Research Institute after their breakthrough in Obelisk Technology."
"It can store nine fixed coordinates for point-to-point teleportation. Quick and convenient."
The wizard smiled sheepishly. "All right, all I understood was point-to-point teleportation and quick and convenient."
The Wizarding Kingdom was in an age of explosive technological growth.
Less than twenty short years had passed since the country was founded.
Yet they had rapidly progressed from old-fashioned electric lights to teleportation technology.
It was all thanks to their Wizard King, who had built a solid infrastructure for them.
The Magic Technology Research Institute was divided into two major departments. One was the Potions Department, a department unique to the Wizard World. Its task was to organize old potion formulas and conduct targeted research into curses once considered incurable.
