Being forgotten was cruel.
In the Wizarding World, there was one particularly cruel spell.
Obliviate.
It erased memories and traces of a person, making them completely forgotten.
During a war between Wizards and Muggles, Wizards from Muggle families had chosen to fight.
They could not implicate their families, so their only choice was to make it as though they had never existed.
Those Wizards had fallen in the war.
A war that had seemed hopelessly foolhardy at the time had given the Wizarding Kingdom a chance to declare its stance to the outside world.
The war had involved the schemes of those in power and the covetous ambitions of other nations. In the end, victory had freed the Wizarding Kingdom from its constant dread of destruction at the hands of Muggles.
It had also marked the beginning of Wizards taking magical technology seriously.
Many years after that war ended, the Wizarding Kingdom had officially stepped onto the world stage.
What Minister for Magic Weasley intended to do was restore the missing memories of families who had lost their loved ones.
It was somewhat cruel, but very necessary.
Pepper Potts remembered everything.
The Wizard she had thought seemed rather dangerous had been one of her closest family members.
The missing piece in her heart had finally been filled.
The memories her mother had recovered in her later years had been so cruel.
Along with those belongings had come a somber letter.
It told them where the Wizards who had fallen in that war lay.
They had died for Wizards, and they were commemorated in Wizard City.
There was a ticket to Wizard City.
Minister for Magic Weasley had not invited the leaders of other nations. The first Muggles allowed to set foot in Wizard City would be the families of Wizards.
