The battle between Thanos and Hulk reached its climax the instant they clashed. Armed with a battle-axe and stacked with multiple buffs, Hulk held nothing back against a fellow pure warrior.
"Hulk!"
He raised his battle-axe high and brought it crashing down at Thanos. Seeing Hulk leave himself wide open, Thanos had a chance to severely wound or even kill him with a single slash, but Hulk's axe would wound him in return.
He slashed upward, blocking Hulk's attack.
Naturally, Thanos would never trade wounds with Hulk. Anger stirred within him. How could this green brute hold back someone as invincible as him?
As his anger grew, he put even more force into his strikes. The pressure on Hulk surged, drawing furious roars from him. But this was Marvel, not the Dragon Ball Universe. There were no sudden rage-fueled power-ups here; all power had a source.
In the distance, Professor Hulk, who was preparing to perform the snap, had begun to doubt himself.
"Is that guy really Hulk? What did he grow up eating? How can he be that strong?"
Remembering how Thanos had battered him when he transformed into Hulk before made his scalp prickle. The gap between them had been like an adult fighting an infant. That head-on beating had left Hulk so traumatized that he refused to emerge from his soul, no matter what.
Thanos raised his foot and kicked Hulk square in the chest with all his might. Even the special armor Hulk wore buckled under the kick. Before absolute strength, any metal could be damaged.
Hulk went flying, hit the ground, and rolled a long way.
Thanos spat lightly. Vast numbers of soldiers emerged from his mothership. They were his most loyal followers, the enforcers who helped him conquer planets.
"Face my army!"
