A man, a tree, a raccoon, and a Creeper sat together beside the pool in the plaza.
"Rocket, what brought you to Xandar? With your personality, I wouldn't think you'd like a place like this."
Rocket turned the bone meal over in his paws. Even after studying it for ages, he still couldn't figure out why something that looked so pixelated would be bone meal.
At Yang Bo's question, Rocket immediately replied, "I'm here looking for 'business.'"
Yang Bo nodded slightly. Xandar was highly developed, so naturally there was plenty of "business." No matter how glamorous a place looked on the surface, there would always be people who needed someone to do their dirty work.
Just then, Rocket raised his little paw and asked in bewilderment, "What exactly is this stuff? Why is it so weird?"
"Bone meal. It's powdered bone, and it's great for plants."
As he spoke, Yang Bo took out another handful of bone meal. He aimed it at the branch planted in the flowerpot beside the pool and silently commanded it to be used. The bone meal in his hand turned into specks of green light that sank into the branch. Sensing the energy, the branch swayed twice and grew a little at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Rocket still didn't believe him. Holding up the bone meal, he said, "I'd believe you if you said this was an alchemical product. Whose bones turn into tiny square particles when you grind them up?"
"Unless their bones were square to begin with."
