He made a huge circuit but found no signs of life.
When he returned to Mephisto, Yang Bo was in a pretty good mood. Although he regretted not finding the souls of Kaecilius's family, getting a Spirit of Vengeance was pretty nice too.
"Mephisto, you're actually a pretty good guy. Are you sure you don't want to sign a contract with me?"
Mephisto smiled and shook his head. "We demons aren't what the rumors in the Overworld make us out to be."
"Although we value the sanctity of contracts, not everything requires one."
"With someone like you, I feel you'll bring me plenty of souls even without a contract."
To Mephisto, souls were the source of his power.
Yang Bo nodded slightly as he looked at Mephisto's avatar and said very seriously, "I have no problem bringing you souls, but there's one thing. I hope you can preserve them for at least a year."
"Of course, after that year, what you do with them is up to you."
That way, even if he accidentally killed an innocent person, Yang Bo could come to Mephisto, bring the soul back, and have Kaecilius look for a spell that could return it to its body.
