Looking at Commissioner Gordon, who was giving off white smoke but remained clearheaded, Yang Bo smiled. "Do you have anyone in mind for the remaining potions?"
Commissioner Gordon was still feeling out the changes in his body. At Yang Bo's question, he frowned slightly and glanced at the box of potions on the desk.
"As long as there's nothing wrong with the potions, I'll select some elite officers and form a special squad."
Yang Bo nodded slightly and tapped his fingers lightly against the desk, looking thoughtful. Then he asked, "Can you be sure none of your men are working undercover for those thugs?"
His question instantly cast a heavy pall over the office. Gordon stared distractedly at the liquid in the IV bag. He had no answer to that question. He could guarantee there were traitors in the Police Department, but he couldn't be sure who they were.
He didn't even dare probe into it. Once something like that came to light, everyone in the department would fear for themselves.
Yang Bo took out his cigarettes and offered one to Gordon, then slipped another between his own lips. He lit it with his lighter, stood up, and walked to the window. Opening it a crack, he took a deep drag.
"You can look into the officers I brought over yesterday. They don't hold any rank, but they should be clean."
Although his Minimap let him identify people who were hostile toward him, that only covered hostility directed at him. If someone was hostile toward Commissioner Gordon, there was nothing he could do.
Gordon nodded gently. Right now, he felt as though his body were melting. It was a very strange sensation, completely painless, yet it made him feel as if every bone in his body had gone soft.
