His search turned up nothing.
Yang Bo stopped dwelling on it. If this really was a world without superheroes, wouldn't that be wonderful?
But his instincts told him that was impossible.
"I'll bring Skye over first. This is still New York, after all. I can show her around."
He stood up, but just as he was about to leave, a sudden cheer rang out overhead.
He instinctively looked up.
A red figure swept through the air, and Yang Bo's pupils instantly contracted.
The signature skintight suit and the strands of spiderweb stuck to the buildings left no doubt about his identity.
"Holy shit, the fail-man!!"
He had subconsciously overlooked Spider-Man. He couldn't help it-in his mind, the Avengers' Spider-Man was still a kid who ought to be in middle school right now...
This was awkward.
He took out his phone again and searched for Spider-Man. Sure enough, plenty of information about him came up.
"I wonder which Spider-Man this is..."
Yang Bo searched for Oscorp on his phone and soon found news of Norman Osborn's death. There was no news of Otto Gunther Octavius, otherwise known as Doctor Octopus, having died, though.
"Looks like we're somewhere between Spider-Man 1 and Spider-Man 2."
Yang Bo smiled. Compared to the other universes, the standalone Spider-Man movie universe was far too "peaceful."
Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Sandman, and the rest were all too weak. But according to the rules governing Marvel heroes, even if Yang Bo killed these so-called villains, new ones would emerge. He might as well leave them to their friendly neighborhood Peter Parker.
Doctor Octopus was pretty decent, though. When the end came, he could see whether he could save him. If he sent him to New Krypton to research how to make a sun...
