The End was a dimension shrouded in mystery.
The sky and void of the End were a motionless darkness without any patterns. There was no cycle of day and night, only an eternal, unchanging dim glow.
Islands floated in the void, covered in purple plants that resembled writhing tentacles. Fortunately, everything was made of blocks, so the sight wasn't enough to send anyone's sanity plummeting.
Flying through the air, Yang Bo looked down at the vast forest of chorus plants covering an island and descended straight toward it.
"Could these chorus plants have been invading Lovecraftian creatures that Minecraft assimilated into what they are now?"
Yang Bo's imagination ran wild for a moment. He took out a tool and lightly chopped at the base of a chorus plant. With a series of cracking sounds, every branch of the plant shattered, dropping a heap of Chorus Fruit.
He picked up a Chorus Fruit from the ground and held it in his hand. It was slightly larger than his fist, with a rather tough skin.
"Come to think of it, I never actually ate any Chorus Fruit after getting it..."
He had eaten both rotten flesh and Spider Eyes to increase his maximum health, but he had always assumed Chorus Fruit was a special-purpose item and never tried eating it. Later, he had stuffed it into a chest and forgotten about it.
He brought it to his mouth and took a bite. Before he could even taste it, his figure vanished with a swish.
