The thick tail skimmed Spider-Man's scalp and slammed into the wall behind him. Bang! The wall exploded, revealing the terrified crowd inside.
Sirens blared as a large number of police officers surrounded them, their little pistols aimed at Professor Lizard. Bang, bang, bang! A volley of shots rang out, but police pistol rounds were barely enough to scratch his itch.
Clearly, though, Professor Lizard had his reservations. He glanced at the police, abandoned his attack on Spider-Man, and nimbly turned to flee.
Having watched the whole spectacle from the sidelines, Yang Bo couldn't help commenting, "Sure enough, a classic scene."
"If Professor Lizard had held out a little longer, or just ripped Spider-Man's heart out earlier, that would've been a wrap for Spider-Man."
Yang Bo couldn't help curling his lip as he turned his gaze toward Spider-Man. By now, the police had surrounded him, but the reputation he'd built up over time made them wary of acting rashly. Unlike with Professor Lizard, they didn't immediately open fire.
"Hands up!"
"Stop resisting!!"
The Amazing Spider-Man stood still and raised both hands in surrender.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, don't shoot! I'm an upstanding citizen of New York. You can't treat me like this..."
But the next moment, Spider-Man shot a strand of webbing from his hand onto a nearby building and instantly launched himself into the air.
"Woohoo! See you around, officers!"
Soon, Spider-Man vanished into the concrete jungle, leaving behind a group of police officers exchanging bewildered looks and a crowd of innocent onlookers.
Looking toward where Spider-Man had disappeared, Yang Bo's lips curved slightly as he murmured, "Professor Lizard owes a hundred million, so it's perfectly reasonable for Spider-Man, the other party involved, to owe a hundred million too."
