He poured the lava into the Hunter Weapons Table's crucible, took out the materials he had prepared, and crafted two Hunter-exclusive weapons: a Crossbow and a Hunter Battleaxe.

Next, he crafted a large supply of Crossbow Bolts. The only good news was that they did not require feathers; otherwise, he could not even have afforded ammunition.

Yang Bo took out his newly crafted basic Hunter Battleaxe and gave it a light swing. It felt decent in his hand, though its listed damage was a little low. However, it dealt an extra 10% damage to vampires and came with Knockback II.

"I'll build a Nether Portal first and see whether I can get to the Nether. If I can, getting diamonds and obsidian should be a piece of cake."

Chests in Nether fortresses could contain plenty of Overworld items. Most importantly, he could obtain blaze rods. Once he crafted a Brewing Stand, he could finally say goodbye to restoring his health through suicide.

Carrying a Water Bucket and the lava, Yang Bo walked to a corner of the room and sealed off the surrounding area with cobblestone, leaving only a passage wide enough for one person.

He placed the water above the Portal frame, then took an iron bucket filled with lava out of his inventory. Using the mechanic that turned lava source blocks into obsidian on contact with water, he spent a little time building a 2×3 Nether Portal.

Looking at the deep-purple obsidian frame, Yang Bo prayed over and over.

"Notch, bless me! Please let this Portal activate!"

He took out the Flint and Steel he had crafted, aimed it at the obsidian frame, and silently commanded, Use. With a crisp click, a flame flashed and vanished. A purple, swirling Portal appeared inside the previously empty frame.

Listening closely, he could make out faint, eerie noises and other unsettling sounds from the Portal. It also emitted purple, snowflake-like particles, as though something invisible were drifting out of it.

Looking at the purple Portal, Yang Bo broke into an excited grin.

"My luck's finally turning around! Diamonds, netherite, Ender Pearls-I want them all!"

Without hesitation, Yang Bo stepped straight into the Nether Portal. As he stood inside it, everything before his eyes seemed covered by a purple filter, and the whispers in his ears grew a little clearer.

Then everything before Yang Bo's eyes began to distort and sway. A few seconds later, the scene changed. Through the purple filter, he appeared in a forest dominated by deep blues and cyan.

"A warped forest?"

Yang Bo instinctively lowered his head. He had no choice-an extremely powerful monster could spawn here: the Enderman.

Endermen had very high attack power and health, along with the ability to teleport. Once a player angered one, it would often teleport behind them. Against an Enderman, the Iron Armor Yang Bo was wearing might as well have been made of paper.

He hurriedly took cobblestone out of his inventory and built a 3×3 platform overhead. Only then did Yang Bo breathe a sigh of relief and get a chance to examine his surroundings.

The ground in the warped forest consisted mostly of warped nylium, with some netherrack and warped wart blocks mixed in. Warped fungi, warped roots, Nether sprouts, and twisting vines grew here and there.

Several tall, black figures walked through the forest.

Yang Bo instinctively looked toward one of the black figures and met a pair of purple eyes.

Feeling challenged, the Enderman immediately opened its mouth in rage and began trembling, letting out a shriek. The sound echoed through the vast, open spaces of the Nether, making Yang Bo shiver.

"Fuck, how am I supposed to deal with this? In the game, you won't anger an Enderman as long as you don't aim the crosshair at its head. But how the hell does that work in real life? Who wouldn't instinctively look when a black figure flashed past right in front of them?"

Another shriek rang out. Yang Bo wanted to slap himself. He had angered another Enderman.

With no other choice, he took an Iron Axe out of his inventory and braced himself for the Endermen to teleport.

With a pew, the Enderman that had been striding along on its long legs suddenly vanished, leaving only a cloud of purple, snowflake-like particles behind.

Yang Bo immediately turned around. Sure enough, the Enderman had teleported behind him and was shrieking.

He swung the Iron Axe hard into its body. Upon being hit, the Enderman's black body flashed red, and it was knocked back a short distance before charging again. Unfortunately for it, the space Yang Bo occupied was only two blocks high. At three blocks tall, the Enderman had no way to attack the shameless Yang Bo.

"Heh heh, get a taste of an outsider's tricks!"

The Enderman also had an impressive 40 health points, twice Yang Bo's total. Still, with Yang Bo diligently hacking at its feet, its health steadily dropped.

Just then, the sound of another Enderman came from behind him. Sheltered beneath the platform, Yang Bo remained completely calm.

"An Ender Pearl!"

Once the Enderman's health reached zero, a blue pearl dropped to the ground. When Yang Bo approached, it was absorbed into his inventory.

He held the round Ender Pearl in his hand and examined it. To his surprise, a tiny Enderman head sat at its center. Its purple eyes moved with his gaze, maintaining eye contact with him the whole time.

"Heh, it's actually pretty."

Ender Pearls were among the few relatively round items in Minecraft. Although they still felt angular to the touch, they looked much better compared with the other items.

Yang Bo stuffed the pearl into his inventory.

"I'll farm pearls here for a while. You can never have too many things that let you teleport!"

With pearls, he could pull off some seriously flashy moves. He could even count it as a superpower, albeit one with fairly obvious weaknesses.

"If I build an Ender cannon later, wouldn't that give me teleportation too?"

While Yang Bo was lost in these pleasant thoughts, an attack suddenly struck him, forcing his entire body back a step. He frantically looked around, only to discover that the Enderman behind him was holding a cobblestone block.

Yang Bo hurriedly took more cobblestone out of his inventory and plugged the gap. Seeing that he had lost 7 health points, he felt as though he had narrowly escaped death.

"Damn it, you want to play dirty? Bring it on!"

Yang Bo, a dirty trickster himself, could not stomach having an Enderman turn the tables on him. Gripping his little axe, he immediately began venting his anger.

Without a crosshair, he kept attracting nearby Endermen from time to time. Although he killed them at a decent pace, their numbers did not decrease. Instead, more and more gathered around him.

Still, that worked out just fine. He could collect all the Ender Pearls he needed in one go.
