"Damn it, you know I almost died!"

Just as B-15 was about to request backup, a Portal opened, and Ravonna scrambled out looking as though she had narrowly escaped death, as if something terrifying were chasing her.

Yang Bo shrugged. "But you didn't die, did you? From the sound of it, you'll at least live until you die."

Ravonna: "..."

Walking over to Ravonna, Yang Bo reached out to help her up and casually took back the teleportation device in her hand. "Now that the Portal is open, I won't trouble you any longer. I'll be going. If fate allows it, I'm sure we'll meet again."

"One more thing: your Time Variance Authority relies far too much on time."

Before Ravonna could respond, Yang Bo plunged into the Portal.

Space shifted.

Yang Bo stepped out of the Portal into a stretch of ruins surrounded by leaning, toppled skyscrapers. They were all weathered, covered in the marks of time.

He reached out to touch the grass, a puzzled expression crossing his face.

"It's actually alive... Shouldn't Alioth have devoured it?"

When he had watched the story before, Yang Bo had found this puzzling. With a monstrous storm that devoured all energy and matter at the End of Time, this world should have been an empty void. There shouldn't have been any life left.

Yet now that he was here, the grass on the ground looked even lusher.

He gazed at the distant sky. Far away, a mass of dark red clouds loomed. That was Alioth.

A storm that devoured all life.

Closing the Portal, Yang Bo rose into the sky and flew straight toward Alioth. He was his target.

After flying some distance, Yang Bo abruptly stopped.

He landed gently on the ground.

"Maybe... I should put down a bed first?"
