Brock Rumlow stared grimly at the spot where Yang Bo had vanished. He had already received orders from his superiors to retreat.
Captain America was leading a group of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents toward their location.
It was not yet time for Hydra to reveal itself. Dr. Zola's Project Insight had not begun, and exposing themselves now would do them no good whatsoever.
"Retreat!"
Brock Rumlow reluctantly waved his hand and prepared to withdraw. A barrage of incendiary rounds and gasoline bombs turned the surroundings into a sea of fire, while the aircraft overhead climbed higher into the sky.
The aircraft that had crashed to the ground also had its self-destruct sequence activated. Everything was done to erase as many traces of their presence as possible.
Boom...
Yang Bo, who was busily digging underground, also felt the tremors passing through the earth.
"Are they planning to carpet-bomb the place with missiles?"
He stopped digging and broke through the soil overhead, only to be greeted by a sea of fire. Thick black smoke billowed into the sky, making it impossible to see his surroundings clearly.
Yang Bo took a water bucket from his inventory and poured the water at his feet. Standing inside the water source block, he stared darkly at the raging flames around him. Through the Minimap, he could clearly see the red dots rapidly retreating.
He did not pursue them. There was no way his two legs could catch up with their vehicles, unless he someday got his hands on a Speed 100 potion.
The heat of the flames made the air shimmer. Yang Bo watched the fire burn without saying a word. Before long, only scattered flames remained on the ground outside the workshop. He knew those were the bodies Hydra's men had left behind.
