First, thank you, dear readers, for your support all along the way. Second, thank you again-without you, this book would never have made it this far.
The ending was a little rushed-you could even call it a botched ending-and that was terribly unfair to all of you who had kept reading up to this point.
But I really had nothing left to write. Even reaching a million Chinese characters was already far beyond anything I had expected.
Of course, the reason this book ended badly was that I hadn't done my job properly: the detailed outline wasn't good enough, the prose wasn't good enough, and the ideas weren't good enough.
I owe every one of you an apology.
Still, for this book, ending it this way was about as good a bad ending as it could have had.
For the next book, I'll probably wait until I've taken some time off, put the outline in my head down into concrete words, fleshed out the setting, and finished a detailed outline of the early plot before I start posting.
I hope I'll have improved by the next book, and I look forward to seeing all of you again.
