"You can control the wind. You're not Councilman Bieber. You're that dragon tamer named Venti."
Pierce exposed the identity of the man before him, his expression dark.
"Huh? You only just realized? Sorry, you're too late."
Venti swept a hand across his face, easily peeling off the transparent biometric disguise membrane. He removed his wig and the rest of his disguise, revealing his true appearance.
"That disguise..."
Pierce recognized the biometric membrane. It was a tool Strike Team agents often used on undercover infiltration missions, something only S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel had access to.
"Something this useful was just perfect for an occasion like this."
The blonde councilwoman beside him removed her disguise as well, revealing her true face.
"Agent Romanoff. No wonder you disappeared after the captain became a wanted man."
Pierce gritted his teeth as he stared at Black Widow, who had her pistol trained on him. These damned bastards had played him for a fool!
"This is impossible."
His expression shifted. Black Widow's presence was one thing, but how had this Venti gotten here?
After realizing something was wrong, he had dispatched plenty of men to stop the people with special abilities working with Iron Man from interfering with the plan.
"Oh, you mean those people? We quietly took care of them ages ago."
Venti spoke calmly, as though it were a trivial matter.
"Shoot! Shoot!"
Pierce shouted in fury, and the Hydra members behind him immediately pulled their triggers.
Bang! Bang! Bang! ...
Dozens of gunshots rang out in succession. The bullets struck the air around Venti, but did no harm to him or anyone else.
Venti stood in front of the council members, blocking the attack with a thick wall of wind.
Once the bullets entered the wind wall, they could advance no farther.
