"Hi, you must be Aunt May."
The girl standing at the door took off her slightly oversized hat and earnestly introduced herself to May. "I'm Astrologist Mona Megistus. You can also just call me Mona."
The girl's outfit was a little unusual, but May didn't think much of it. After all, she'd been through her own teenage years of overblown fantasies, so she wasn't too stiff around kids that age.
"Ah, yes, I'm May. What can I do for you, Mona?"
May felt it was rather rude to leave someone standing at the door to talk, and a young girl who looked this innocent and wholesome certainly couldn't be a bad person.
Perhaps she was doing a community service assignment, or maybe she was selling something. Quite a few salespeople had come to her house lately, and Mona might be one of them.
With that thought, May opened the door. "Come on in first."
With permission granted, Mona stepped inside. The fragrant scent of walnuts and red dates drifted through the house. The living room wasn't large, but it had been made very cozy.
"Give me a moment. I'm baking bread, and it'll be out of the oven in another two minutes."
May hurried into the kitchen and checked the timer on the oven. After washing her hands, she took out some juice and poured it into a glass.
"Fresh apple brew. If you don't like that, I also have a Raspberry Mint Drink."
May handed the glass to Mona, who was standing somewhat awkwardly in the room, and pointed toward the fridge. "If you're up for a challenge, I also have a Spicy Drink. One glass will keep you wide awake all day."
Mona found May's enthusiasm a little overwhelming, but... she looked at the drink in her hands.
