The man's call from above pulled Steven's scattered wits back together. As his awareness returned, his mouth hung wide open, with sorrow flowing out like a river.
"Ah... aaah!!!"
"All right, all right, I know I'm handsome enough to shatter the heavens, but that's way too much drool."
"Oooooh!!! Could it be that I look so delicious to you that I'm literally making your mouth water?! You've got great taste, bro! Hahahaha!! Ahem, ahem. Gotta stay humble. Humble."
The man tossed his head confidently, his white hair flying in the breeze. The glass bottles hanging from the horns on his head clinked together.
His dislocated jaw made even the simple act of closing his mouth incredibly difficult. Naturally, Steven couldn't respond to this "strange man," who was utterly lost in admiration of his own charm.
"Ah, ah! Aaaah!!"
Pointing at his jaw, Steven gestured "excitedly" at the man, desperate for someone to help him put it back where it belonged.
Steven's grunting and frantic gestures did have some effect, though not quite the effect he intended.
The man who had accidentally rescued a "damsel" while picking wildflowers by the roadside finally noticed the unusual reaction of the person before him.
Steven watched confusion flicker across the man's face for two seconds. Then his expression abruptly changed, and even the eight teeth basking in their sunlit spa vanished in an instant.
"Oh, crap!! Hang on, bro!! I'll save you!!"
Hearing that the man had finally understood him, Steven immediately breathed a sigh of relief.
But just as he presented his jaw to the approaching man, the man suddenly darted behind him without even looking at it.
Then, to Steven's horror, two large hands slipped under his armpits and wrapped around him.
A tremendous force struck the next second.
"Ah?!!"
"Ah!"
"Ah!!"
