With the adults heading off to a meeting, the young members of the Avengers Reserve willingly took on the important task of looking after Gugu.
The children gathered around the little orange cat, their laughter echoing through the room.
"Hey! Kid! Come here. There are a few things you need to know."
Nick Fury's commanding voice rang out. He beckoned Peter, the leader of the kids, over to him.
Fury folded his arms across his chest, his expression as stern as a statue. With a slight frown, he said, "Keep an eye on these little ones. Don't let them get carried away playing house. This isn't an ordinary cat."
Peter's eyes instantly lit up.
He clapped his hands excitedly. "I knew there was something special about Gugu! The second it came into the room, my Spider-Sense started going crazy. Do you get what I mean, Mr. Nick? It's like a fire alarm with flashing red lights going off in my head. Beep, beep, beep... beep, beep, beep... like that. Sometimes it even turns into a wee-woo, wee-woo sound."
As he spoke, Peter eagerly rolled up his sleeve and showed his arm, every hair standing on end.
"Look, Mr. Nick! The hairs on my arm are still standing up."
Peter's face brimmed with curiosity and anticipation. "So is Gugu our secret weapon too? A Cat Hero who's normally a cat but turns into a person when it counts?"
Nick Fury looked at Peter with a complicated expression.
"A cat turning into a person? A Cat Hero? Kid, you've been watching too much Harry Potter. This isn't Professor Minerva McGonagall's Animagus form, and this isn't a Hogwarts Transfiguration
