Nick Fury stared out the window, his expression grave.
A swarm of flying behemoths was hurtling toward the helicarrier at tremendous speed.
Gunfire pounded their bodies, but their scales were exceptionally tough. The bullets merely threw up sparks, doing no real damage.

Nick Fury clapped excitedly, a smile of long-awaited satisfaction spreading across his face. It felt as though he had finally gotten even for everything he had endured in New York.
However, his joy did not last long.
Coulson approached with a worried expression, unable to avoid dampening his longtime superior's spirits. "Sir, the ultimate weapon consumes an enormous amount of energy. Our reserves are limited. I'm afraid we can't keep this up for long."
With that, he looked up through the window. The sky was packed with creatures identical to the flying behemoth they had just
