Peter and Ned were sitting nearby, so they quickly stood up and helped Xiangling carry the dishes to the table.
They had assumed the head chef of Wanmin Restaurant would be an older woman, or at least a young adult. They had never expected Xiangling to look about their own age.
To have such masterful cooking skills at such a young age was truly impressive.
"Oh, thank you for helping me taste-test! I heard this is your first time at Wanmin Restaurant, so just to be safe, let me treat you to some of my specialties before we try the new dishes."
Although Xiangling believed no ingredient should be considered superior or inferior, some ingredients were admittedly a challenge for her customers. To keep these two potential long-term taste-testers coming back, she decided to welcome them with her signature dishes first.
Peter and Ned readily agreed and sat down, waiting for Xiangling to introduce each dish.
"These are Rice Buns, these are crystal shrimp dumplings, and this plate is Mint Salad. Oh, can you handle spicy food? The peppers here aren't as hot as Jueyun Chili, but the Jueyun Chili Chicken still tastes pretty good. Try it and see if it suits your tastes!"
As Xiangling introduced the dishes, she arranged them in the middle of the table.
She kept the other new dishes covered with porcelain bowls for the time being.
Peter and Ned were both drawn to the vivid colors and beautiful presentation of the food before them. Ned went for the chicken first, but his chopstick skills weren't up to the task. The two sticks kept fighting each other, and despite all his efforts, not a single piece of meat reached his mouth.
