"Eddie, take a deep breath. Listen to me, okay? You're not the only one who's scared of examinations. I'm claustrophobic too, so relax. Breathe~ in~ out~"
Dan patiently guided the tense man, who looked as though he had just been hauled out of the water.
It took Eddie quite a while to clear his numb mind. What on earth was wrong with him?
"Hey, Dan, how did it go?"
Anne came over, and Dan discreetly shook his head at her.
"Uh, why don't we let Eddie go home and rest first? We can talk more once the results come back."
In Eddie's current state, forcing him through the examination would only make him more anxious. Dan believed the man's intense reaction earlier had been psychological, so that was what he suggested.
The MRI images looked a little strange, but that could also have been caused by Eddie's trembling earlier. Dan planned to study them more closely later.
At Dan's words, Eddie picked up his soaking clothes beside him and tried to push his head into them. Seeing this, Dan fetched his own clothes from the lounge and hurried back.
"Eddie, hey, you can wear this for now. It's still new."
He took away the wet clothes and handed the man the sweatshirt.
"Oh, thank you. Thank you."
Eddie was a little surprised and flattered. He thanked him as he pulled it on.
"You're welcome. Anne bought it."

The atmosphere turned a little awkward.
Anne swore Dan hadn't meant anything by it. He was just a simple-minded nice guy.
Dan certainly had no idea how much that offhand remark could hurt Eddie.
"Eddie, these are Mr. Diluc and Mr. Kaeya, the owners of Wanmin Restaurant. They came all the way to the hospital with you."
Anne changed the subject, quickly
